Got my card in the mail today put it into my system and got to playing some games and noticed the boost clocks on the card will touch 1935-1950 but then shoot straight back down between 1780-1865. The card will not hold boost tables for some reason, if you have this card to what are you seeing boost wise. I know before the whole MLCC situation they were advertising this card as having a real boost clock of 1935mhz I believe now i cant find that advertised boost clock anywhere on the net.

Also the XC is a smaller cooler than the ftw3 series. So the amount of boost clock you get will probably be lower as well. I think thats the card trying to find a good boost without it crashing.

Yeah something like that. You can check the ave clock after Time Spy. Mine XC3 was around 1785 by default.

It's the heat, mine boosts to over 2000 then as the heat rises over 80c, it clocks down into the 1900s and when the heat gets to high 80s it goes down to 1750. The heat is taking away 15% of clock speed.

Do you use the stock fan profile or do you set a custom one?

Mine generally runs at 1770-1860 ish in The Witcher 3, limited due to power according to GPU-Z (seems to be 320w) and Quake II RTX is the most intensive I've tested so far, with the card going up to 330w and generally 1695-1725 MHz settled. Although lower than the advertised "boost clock" in this situation I'm not thinking that the boost clock is guaranteed to be sustained, but merely "reached" or an "average". The base clock of the RTX 3080 is 1440 MHz.

You can try to uv the card at 837mv / 1905Mhz with + 500 Mem. I also used a custom fan curve too.

I followed this YouTube where he figures out the optimal CLK speed for 3080 XC ultra and tested against Quake RTX.

    YMMV

    How many fans?

    3 140mm intake
    1 120mm intake
    2 140mm exhaust
The cpu does not get that hot, doesn't get past 60c while gaming (3800x with GAMMAX 400 V2 Heatsink)

Actually mine hovers around the advertised boost clock with temps in 80s. It's just sad that this GPU can do a lot higher were it not for the high temps.
When I removed it from the case yesterday, the whole unit was hot to the touch, the heatsink, the backplate, everything. At the same time, the CPU heatsink was barely lukewarm. This was with the case open since I was doing forensics.
