Radiator fans keep turning on and off as seen by the fan 1 tacho  Have tried setting fan speeds statically and via the curve in both x1 and afterburner. The target fan speed seems to adhere to the curve:  but it still keeps switching Anyone else experiencing a similar problem or have a suggestion?- ----- SOLUTION (If anyone else runs into this problem): One of the fans sensors may be bad. Swap with another controllable fan and see if it fixes the problem.

I think Fan 1 is the fan on the card?

Fan 2 seems to be the one on the card, it does not have the same problem. It follows whatever curve I set.

Went through an defaulted everything, still see same thing.  However, when I went into the case and switched the fan pins ONE of the fans stays on. The other still goes back and forth. Never mind, started going back and forth again.

I only installed afterburner to diagnose, uninstalled it after.

I was trying to see if it ever came up with anything. It did not. Wasn't sure if the two radiator fans were measured separately.

I don't think they would since they're in a splitter cable.

I must have mixed up the last fan header swap. After doing it again I do have one of the fans running properly. The other is still alternating.

So when you say one is running properly and the other is alternating, are you judging this based on what you can visually see as you look at the rad fans or based on the graphs?

Yes, I can see one spinning. It spins faster as I increased the static value. The other keeps alternating between off and on.

Check the pin connector that it connects to from the splitter maybe?

Ok. I think it's one of the fans. I plugged in a spare corsair fan in lieu of the the one that is alternating and they both work. In either configuration. I'm guessing something is wrong with the other fans sensor?
Unfortunately this is a 140mm fan, will just buy some decent 120mm fans and replace these.

I recommend the 120ML fans then. Not sure how EVGA would handle an RMA for just one fan. The stock rad fans are good too imo.
