When I initially tried to install this gpu, I mistakenly tried to swap out the fans with ones that I already had but they did not fit the evga fan pins...for some reason though I kept trying and trying till I ended up with a mangled fan connector. I was pretty devastated at first because I had just spent a large amount of money on the card and only one of the fans would work but I ended up putting a splitter on the other fan pin and now both fans do work without any issues...just no led. If I wanted to get everything back to the way it should be, my only option would pretty much be to buy the hybrid kit and install? Is there anyway to change out just the one fan connector I damaged? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Dang, sorry to learn about that happening Your talking about damaging the fan terminal that comes from inside of the GPU cover & connects to the radiator fan ? If you ever needed to RMA this card .. that physical damage .. could void the warranty Unless it is just a matter of straightening pins like AHowes mentioned So, yes you might want to buy a hybrid kit ... just to preserve your warranty Radiator fans can be run from a fan hub or MB fan connection .. but, you would loose the GPU's control of that fan ... need to set a fixed speed that offers adequate cooling

I thought you had to return the card in original factory condition? Meaning he has to send the original cooler on it if he needs warranty service.
His only shot is to fix replace that connector.
Now evgs could just charge him for a new cooler.

customer can ask EVGA CS replacing the connector would be a modification Stock condition = same cooler - I'm not sure EVGA would have issue with changing the same cooler - OP would need to ask EVGA

I dont think so...its been a while but from what I remember I really messed that one fan pin up bad lol. Im actually getting a 1000w psu tonight or tomorrow so when I install it, Ill take a few pics. Cool GTX

I asked them if they would install hybrid kit if I purchased it explaining the situation of my gpu but they said they dont install products or something along those lines...but its kind of weird because I'm basically asking for a warranty service? Only reason I didn't directly ask for warranty service is that I'm afraid I'll have to wait months for a replacement or something else will go wrong given the current state of gpu's. I should of bought the kit when it was in stock... I mean I dont mind holding onto it the way it is now as the performance is still amazing but every few months I get the itch to try a different gpu but I know its going to be tough sell with the fan pin situation.

They maybe able to allow you to swap the heatsink off one they send you.. don't think they would just send a heatsink.
Something you would have to ask.
In the past I've pulled the whole plastic fan connector off the pins when removing a heatsink on a 2080ti to install a water block.. was easy to put back on though.
Bent pins are easy enough with a steady hand and tweezers. Just want to go slow so ghe pin don't snap and you don't want to bend it back and forth more then once or it will snap in half.

Im sorry but why would I want to swap the heatsink? Would it be because the fan connectors are connected directly to the heatsink? When you say "I've pulled the whole plastic fan connector...was easy to put back on", you mean the black shroud that's around the pins right? Because that's the part that I mangled badly so now when I connect the fan to it, it doesn't stay put because I bent that shroud in all directions...

Yeah I was thinking that haha.. since you me tinned just replacing the heatsink with a aio cooler to keep warranty Yeah the plastic mount.
Should not of forced it if it wasn't wanting to go on.. usually a sign it's not lined up right.
If the pins are fine.. maybe possible to find a replacement plastic housing for it. Just pull the old off and make sure to put the new one on in the correct direction.
If it's possible to find the exact same one at a electronics site.

Not that it really matters but I never said anything about replacing heatsink to keep warranty...I was just wondering if using the hybrid kit was my only solution to getting the fan pins fixed. Anyhow, appreciate the suggestions...looks like Im just going to have to wait for one of the kits to pop up.

Sure i read someone mention replacing with hybrid cooler to preserve your warranty .. AH, that was cool gtx.
So the hybrid cooler fan does not connect to the gpu? External power?
Anyways.. if the pins on the card fan connector are all ok.OK.. removing the plastic fan pin connector housing may be the way to getting the fan cable to connect. As long as you know which direction to plug in the connector.
I wouldn't attempt it unless you get some good close up pics of that connection to know.
Add some black electric tape first to test and then maybe a drop of hot glue to hold the connection for good.

The LED pins are softer than butter, did you try putting a fan connector to these pins?

You could get that led connection to another header like on your MB or a controller to get your fan leds working , worth a try, just have to adapt it , if there no way to straighten the pins,

Here are some pics of the gpu and argb connector... Im actually trying to sell it and get a different gpu but given that gpu prices are going down, and I overpaid by a decent amount a few months ago, I'm wondering if I'd get back anything close to what I paid. What would be a fair asking price for this gpu?

I think it would be much cheaper to pay someone to get the repair done, contact CS and see if they would sent you a replacement connector, or cut it off and splice a standard a-rgb Connector and run it to the Lian connect hub. Prices have dropped where card flippers on Ebay are taking a loss atm to get rid of cards

I would just order another hybrid stand-alone when they come back in stock and replace the whole AIO. PCB should be fine.
