The price of the 3080 12G is €1207 excluding VAT, but the 3080ti is €1229 excluding VAT.

Still significantly better than rtx2000s pricing. Skipped that series on principle.

It's pretty obvious that both Nvidia and EVGA are pricing these cards to be sold to miners. They just don't care about the gamers anymore boys.

I agree the pricing seems way off considering you're getting just a little more ram. You would think that the price would be just slightly higher than a 3080 and not hundreds more. Either way, I would just be happy to get anything at this point and I think queue 3.0 will be great for those that haven't been able to get a card and need it.

I haven't seen a card's release that is more shady than this 3080 12gb.

It won't be. That is the ONLY reason this 12gb card exists: to raise the MSRP and retire the old 3080 which had 'too low of a MSRP'.

This has to be a joke... 450$ for 2gb of ram more? you are just as bad as the scalpers. I guess ill just have to run my 1080ti into the ground and never upgrade again since these prices are ridiculous. you have seriously lost your minds here.
I don't agree with the price (costing more than a 3080Ti is insanity). but it's more than just "2GB ram more" to be more accurate.
10GB vs. 12GB
320-bit memory bus vs. 384-bit memory bus
760GB/s mem bandwidth vs. 912GB/s memory bandwidth
8704 CUDA cores vs. 8960 CUDA cores
still dumb though since the 3080Ti has the everything the 3080 12GB has, but has 10240 CUDA cores, and launched with a lower MSRP @$1200.
also 10gb is 320W vs new 12gb is 350W Still cheaper for have faster 3080Ti XC3 for $1209.99 the 3080 12gb XC3 Ultra is $1249.99

the fact of the matter is you could simply overclock a standard 10gig card to get the same gain if there is any. in real world use the 2 gig card wont perform any better than the 10gig card because the 10gig card is not bottlenecked by the ram amount, speed, or bandwidth. without a doubt there will be little to no gain with the price increase of $380 over the standard 3080. this card is a waste of money and sand. it is in fact just 2 extra gigs when it comes down to it because whatever slight change it has wont be noticed

Yea. The price of this card is very inflated. It makes the $995 I paid for my evga 3080ftw hybrid seem like a steal and even then I thought it was too much, IMO. Now the same model card that just a tad faster is almost 50% more? FTL
