Hello all! Just got my hands on a 3070ti ftw after months of trying and was extremely dissapointed when I looked at the pcb and backplate profile horizontally. I'm pretty sure this is not normal, it looks bad. Does anyone know if it's something I can fix on my own? Or should I just RMA it? I'm not sure what to do.

Did you purchase this brand new, or did you purchase from someone else through eBay, local purchase? I ask, because that will be important.
This is definitely not normal, as the PCB should be flat. You can even see where the silver spacer just above the T in “RTX” is completely pushed out of the Backplate.

I bought it used from a store. I see what you're saying about the screw above the T. It looks like since it's not settled all the way down like the rest, it is pushing the PCB up and bending it. I'm going to return it. Even though it's on warranty, just checked the warranty status on evga site, it was activated 32 days ago.. not sure it is worth the hassle of going through the RMA process, if that's even a possible scenario.

Damage like that would not be covered under EVGA's warranty, as it is physical damage. If it came from EVGA like that, they would likely approve an RMA - but second hand? It would be denied. https://www.evga.com/warranty/graphics-cards/ What is not covered by this Limited Warranty- Any damages to the components, hardware and/or assembly of the Products including but not limited to damages caused as a result of neglect, abuse, accidents, misuse, or unusual physical, electrical or electromechanical stress (including due to uninterrupted use of the Products, or use of the Products for blockchain processing, cryptocurrency mining, or similar purposes).

Someone probably found the bent PCB and returned it to the store, and then the store sold it. Sadly, your best bet will be to return the card to the store. I also highly suggest contacting support@evga.com or call them, and let them know as well. They may be able to guide you on the best option.

That's what I'm thinking too. The GPU looks completly new, even has plastics on it. Sadly I don't think RMA would be an option for me as arestavo mentioned, and even if it was not sure it would be worth the waiting. I'm just going to return it to the store. Thansk for the help!

How did this happen? How could it bend like this, and it doesn’t look like it’s caused by falling on the ground.
