What is ur overhuclock on ur card out of curiosity?

If you're asking me, it's no OC.  Stock clocks or using my OC settings.  I see spikes way over the max power target.  Same kind of thing Maniac pointed out on his pics earlier in this thread.

Ya i was on my cell at work trying to post that question, hmm ur saying ur 780 goes up to 1201 mhz stock? My 780 sc only goes up to the 1000's, like 1024 or something, even on metro and all. even with an OC it dont even reach the 1100's...did i get a funky card? Cuz my 680 sc could overclock up to 1230...assumed my 780 would go higher so now im really curious if i get a faulty card or something cuz come to think of it, in 1 game i saw some weird blue artifacts on my character and i never ever had any problems and it wasnt with the wonky drivers, was with the ones on provided disk and i was getting weird crashes on Tera also but never no display crash message..so ya.

Idk maybe im missing something cuz ur card goes up to 1201 and mine barely 1024 when pushed..something just seems off to me there.

EDIT: Ya just ran several games to check and my avg mhz is 941, it might jump up to 1024 but thats it, with my 80mhz OC i saw it jump few times up to 1120's, and ur getting 1201 stock...lol. Rly makes me think i got a duped card unless other ppl have same numbers, if other ppl can get that high on stock then i might have to think of RMA cuz paying almost 700 dollars for this card and for it to not be as powerful as it should rly bothers me, ya i know some cards OC better than others when bought but 1201 stock clock compared to my 1024 stock is a big big difference in my eyes... so ya..

Installed on my rig.  They got rid of a bit of flicker I had on occasion on BF3.

Also, I love the fact I see a Walking Dead Profile for SLI :)

ahhh thats it... beta.....no i dont use beta, thx.

another ignorant reply about Nvidia beta drivers. the worst drivers Nvidia has ever released have been WHQL but yeah have fun waiting for something that means absolutely nothing as for as stability.

lol do whatever you want that im gonna do whatever i want. Ignorant you that prefer to complain about nvidia faulty drivers here instead of nvidia forum.
so you are ignorant and proud of it? get a clue and realize that WHQL does not mean a damn thing for Nivdia drivers so no point in waiting for them over beta.

So far these drivers are looking very good indeed

I am noticing some GPU power % spikes during testing that are "unusual".
After repeated testing runs it is impossible to reproduce consistently, but it is occurring...

Normal Heaven 4.0 results, GPU power 94% max

Run with Spike to 206% noted

Compared (stable on left, spike on right)

A previous run with a GPU use drop but -without- a spike, GPU power at 94% max

Testing this morning has produced GPU power % spikes in Heaven, Valley and BF3
None of which are consistently repeatable or showing the same values (lowest spike 151% and highest spike 288%

I am not very concerned about this at this time and will simply keep a sharp on things while my testing continues

Noticed them too.  Few small power spikes randomly. Overall better FPS than 320.18 in a few games and no issues.
2C temp increase for me as well.

Back to 320.18 for me, power spikes are causing coil whine every 2 mins.

Card nice and quiet on previous drivers

Why my fan is changing about every second always from 990 RPM to 1020 RPM when i am on windows mode ? This is always every sec.Just:
Fan speed is changing to 34-35% 34-35% 34-35% 34-35%34-35% 34-35% with 990 RPM to 1020 RPM, 990 RPM to 1020 RPM , 990 RPM to 1020 RPM , 990 RPM to 1020 RPM , 990 RPM to 1020 RPM .... Background programs are turn off

Is this normal or not?

But Valley is stable max 72C. Bioshock Infinite 73C but with 44 fan speed on auto.

Mine is doing the same switching between 1320 and 1350 on auto.
320.18 drivers did it as well though.

I think you need to install Precision and run a user fan profile with max fan at 70c
Such a profile will keep the temps way down -and- the fan speed should not get above 50-60%
*whats the point of such nice cooling if your not going to use it?

I am worried , why my card is boosting max 1136mhz . No matter what temps i have. Like 68 or 75 i get the same boost. With fan like 44% and 1250 RPM. Is this normal or not?

I know peoples with that card and they just got higher boost.

Here are temps:
When i hit 78C on Crysis 3 i have :67 TDP
When 71C on BF3 i have : 57 TDP

Max boost 1162mhz max. I have 1136mhz

sorry you didn't win the silicon lottery, the Boost speed is card dependent and can be anywhere from 1050 to 1300, 1100 range is average

I get yesterday 78C on Crysis 3 ( Root of all evil  - level ) with 45% fan and 1350 RPM.  For me too high. What you think?

Its almost 80. Maybe go RMA that card?

Hm..this results just confuse me i see ppl posting lol, i ran crysis 3 ultra and my temp never broke 60 C barely, i mean game was smooth but i would assume with a ultra setting card would just naturally run hotter, maybe mine just aint boosting the high clocks like it should? Eh idk..gonna do some more tests tomorrow cuz even running Heaven, my card never went higher than 61C but ya, we shall see.

I would suggest creating a custom fan profile in PrecX.  The reason your card is running those temps is because your fan speed is to low.  Here's an example of a fan profile to test out.

Agreed with bdary... just use a profile

Heres mine

Using the above profile with SLI GTX 680's the max temp ever seen was below 63c
*and fan speeds never exceeded 70%.
I use a 50% base as that is the point where I can just hear the cards and it keeps desktop temps below 30c

Well the 320.49 beta driver is a no go for me, I consistently dropped 8-10 fps in every game so I reinstalled my trusty 320.18 driver and I jumped back to my original fps.

Today i played Metro Last Light with SSAA 4x and get maxed 79C .With 47-49 % fans and RPMS: 1350-1410

Its not too high?

That too hot and your fan speed is low but I sure you didn't use Fan Curve in EVGA Precision X! You can change to increase speed of fan in Fan Curve Graphic to keep cooler down!!

I agreed. The same 2C + up on 320.49 than 320.08 drivers.

On Crysis 3 i get on the same place 80C on the 320.49 drivers
When on 320.08 get 78C.
