Anyone here who owned the sr-x board manage to get or recommend any 16gb ram stick running at 1600mhz that can work stably on the SR-X board ? I have 96gb ram installed (12x8gb) but wish to get it up to 192gb ram running at 1600mhz. Your input is very much appreciated. Thank you.

Images are showing up for me on three different pcs, any ideas why some users may have Xs ?

Now it works, wth haha It seems the forums are cleaned on a constant basis, there was a thread with some guy with a SR2 or SRX full of 16GB DIMMS, I failed to take note of the number but they were samsung I think...

Its great to have you here, because you are extreme ;-) in the best sense.
Well, its off to get some 16GB sticks.....oohh, need to deal with CC first :-(
So I wonder if adding 6x16GB will give you better OC capabilities vs 12x8GB, where populating all the ram slots seems to me to be more difficult to overclock, but it could also have been due to the ram i had a the time.
Any idea if Samsung 16GB sticks will work 1600 ?? there are some on eBay for around $175???

I've been around the block a few times...
As for the OC
the ram I used, and is referenced in the pick, was able to do 2133, no timing changes, but had to up the power to 1.65
rock stable
I have not gotten around to tweaking the timings yet.

I was very inspiried by your K8WE (S2895) build, still have it in the corner doing Mail service these days.
I will try and get some 16Gb sticks but i am off on holidays so its taking first priority atm as i have sunk enough ca$h into this build with 20x SSDs and a new Areca 1882ix just recently
but I want to get back to have at least 96GB again as i at time maxed that out too doing my images work, but I also want the OC capability - remember I am on SR-2 not SR-X so there may be some differences
