Kinda seems like it won't happen anyway.  The Broadwell-e release was a perfect time to release refreshes/dark motherboards since alot of people were choosing to upgrade at that point.

Meh! You have to disable half of the features of the board to use the rest. Choice is nice, but it's like mounting a boat to a car and plane to the boat. To each their own in any case.
 
As for a Dark? Too late for me. I decided on the FTW K. I just don't upgrade like I used to.

I don't expect the announcement right now, maybe in a month or two. Then release in 2-4 months also. Maybe even a soft launch with the announcement. But I can confirm it is in development. So this is basically last call for OC Socket requests (which I believe should be called eClock Socket :P).

Yes to the OC socket, and all hands for an X99 dark. Come on EVGA, it won't be long before Intel announces the X chipset successor, surely you can refresh your flag ship my line prior to that!


Well that's no good, way too far off, other vendors all have their new boards out now at Computex(ASUS,MSI,etc). Looks like RV10 instead, oh well...

I agree, but so far Dark series has been the last hurrah of the chipset from EVGA. I would probably get a RV10 if it wasn't for ASUS's terrible customer service and lack of warranty options. I can't really look away from EVGA much because of the long warranty options. Considering I still have some products with lifetime warranty on them.
