i bought a cpu from ebay called  i7 classified at 4.4ghz from  fabious the seller and everyone on my forum said i wont hit 4ghz with my setup but i called the seller he was the best in the world he oced it to 4.4ghz no prob stable he said when i watercool the whol board he will get my i7 past 4.6 now im watercooled waiting for rma from evga .. i paid 60 more than newegg for guaranteed high oc the seller actually went on forums here at started laughing at the advise i was bein given he said there kids that overclocked 3-4 cpus and thinks they know it all he said he has been ocing cpus for 25years and its his job so if any one wants a amazing oc buy cpu from him he also said to fill up my dimms with dual channel and it will become trichannel just letting you guys know if you want a i7 that rates 7.9 on windows 7 look up thatseller..

Well if the seller does not go about it the way they do... very misleading in a sense but in a sense not, what they are doing is doing thier homework looking up batch numbers getting the good batch cpus, seeing what they can do, then marks them down by 400mhz or so and puts them up on ebay im sure.... like everyone here says an i7 920 should be able to do 4ghz easy sorry but that is not the truth with every cpu its a gamble like when buying a gpu some will overclock better than others period not all will hit amazing speeds... its all about doing your homework tracking down a good batch, and then seeing what it can do.

TBH there is a market in this there are users out there that will pay the extra 20-50 bucks for a premium cpu, if intel got smart they would hit the market with premium cpus like these find its max test it on a few boards then have the max oc the lowest it can go on the lowest oc on a board the chip can get with stability.

There are sites where you can find out big overclocking communities where most of the older ethusiest have gone to hide out. Only problem with your oc seabigbbear is your vreg temp get a fan to cool that thing off before you cook your mobo like alot of people did when the first i7's started hitting the market, saw alot of boards cooked due to aggressive overclocks that the vregs would fail on due to the ocers lack of keeping thier vreg cool in mind.

Its just about doing your homework. Im sure there are plenty of people here that can OC much better then this seller (agent tiny around?)

asy way out for noobs who dont want to learm the sellers say all kinds of BS and charge 40-150 extra for something you can do on your own, especially with the help of a tech forum like E

Mine doesnt ever go above 60, with very aggressive OC's (Think i need to reseat it though)
