I like your homebuilt chassis. I can't help you with the 4+ GTX580s because I haven't got the experience. There are others out there who do, so hopefully you'll get some assistance.

Nice Rig! +1 if you had a MODS RIGS Rig.
I came close to getting one today for Folding but held back, waiting for the GTX 790's to come out.
I take as soon as you add the 4th Card it will not show up in Windows?
I added a 3rd GTX 690 and ended up having to install the driver 2 times to get the 5th & 6th GPUs to show up.

It works now with 6 cards
Put up the bios settings on forum for 6xGTX580 after work tonight

do i have to use both 6pin beside cpu 1 and 2 ?
6 GTX580 work now, but not 7.
 
using 3 powersupply near 3000watt.
 
rendering bench result with 6x580: really good !!!
 
 

Ok i fix power to both 6pins tomorrow.
Probably lack of IRQ and adresses too. For 7x580.
Testing the sr-2 with 7 card hole next week after job.
If it dont work i stick to 6 card :-)

Remove them from Programs and Features or device manger. Under device manger on the uninstall popup there a place to tell it to also remove the drivers.
When doing a Nvidia driver install always choose custom install after it starts.
By doing this you can choose all or just the parts you wish to install instead of everything.

The Issue
The HDMI HD Audio drivers (and other drivers) are installed via the Nvidia drivers when you installed it under the "Express" install (along with the useless GeForce Experience for those of us with tri-monitors).  
 
The Resolution
I know this is painful, but, here's what I'd recommend you need to do:
 
1) Re-Install the Nvidia GeForce drivers you are using.  During the re-install, it will ask you to do either an Express or Custom (Advanced) install.  Select Custom (advance) install!
 
2) On the next screen, uncheck everything except the Graphics Driver.  You don't need anything else, nada, zip, no way!
 
3) Make sure to check the "Perform a Clean Installation"
 
4) Click NEXT and continue installing.
 
A note of caution though: don't be affraid at the driver and system freaking out.  A "Clean" installation removes the old drivers and if anything is in use, it will ask you to reboot BEFORE installing the driver again.  If not, it will just flash the screen very often.
 
Reboot when you are done.
 
TheWolf's solution may work just fine by uninstalling them.  I just know I'd remove all traces of the drivers, per my steps above, so it doesn't try to re-install itself later.

They would also need to leave a check by PhysX System software if they
plain to do any gaming or rendering that needs PhysX.
PhysX is no longer install with just a driver install its a separate install for it now.
This way if you need to use a older version physx for some reason you could.

That would be great robbanswe :), im messing up with gettin all cards recognized.
Because i have "8"gpus, maybe a bios update would it make it happen that all 4 Double GPU cards will work and let me boot up the pc.
@ the time i have 6 gpus aktive (3 cards), the 4 - dont let me pass with it booting up
