That would be so amazingly awesome! I'd be so tempted to opt for this instead of waiting out Maxwell cards (I usually only buy one card every 3 years).

Also saw this gem of a quote " NVIDIA GTX 780 Ti features 876 MHz base clock and 928 MHz boost clock. I managed to confirm that with stock cooler it can overclock up to 1240 MHz (based on Afterburner readings). I even saw a GPU-Z screenshot with 1851 MHz memory clock (7.4 GHz). I don’t know if these are stable clocks, all I know it was enough to complete multiple 3Dmark benchmark runs, which I saw."

Are you thinking 25% more cores.. Another +25% in PPD? So GTX 780 ~180K then a GTX 780 Ti ~225K ???

The GTX 780 Ti had to be added to the GPUs.txt file. Thanks to the ff.org Team for quick response. The GTX 780 Ti is now folding.
Strange. EVGA Precision (v4) is showing 3005 MHz memory frequency (shouldn't it be 3500 MHz ?)
My settings: shader +80 mhz (= 1100 mhz), memory on stock, Voltage = 1,18V TDP setting = 100% fan on 70%, temp below 60C
There is a GTX Titan in the same system where I set the shader speed to +100 Mhz (=1100 Mhz) to compare the cards with identical frequency. I will update EVGA's precision tool to check for the 6 vs 7 GHz memory speed anomaly.
In the first P7810 work unit, tpf was 1:16 (210k ppd) second P7810 WU, 1:21 and 191k ppd, third P7810 WU 1:18 and 203k ppd respectively
to compare: The GTX Titan had 1:24 and 181k ppd

Hi Thought I'd pop in and make sure folks know that to fold on the 780 Ti you do need to add the 2 lines for the 780 Ti from the White List on the forum to your GPUs.txt file in your FAHClient Data Directory GPUs.txt file. This has already been added by staff server side. The 2 lines are: 0x10de:0x1006:2:3:GK110 [GeForce GTX 780 Ti] 0x10de:0x100a:2:3:GK110 [GeForce GTX 780 Ti]

AndyE, So for best value, what are you thinking? Have you had a changes to look at power consumption between the 708 / 708Ti? What's the PPD on the 780 are you seeing for comparison?

I know all the facts are not in yet but just from Andy's one post I'd say 780Ti because of price vs the Titan price. Not sure on PPD for a GTX780, but I don't think it will be to close to either of those cards. Hope by Christmas with the help of EVGA bucks I will have enough for a 780Ti.

bowlinra, its too early to have more experience - I literally got the card only a few hours ago. What I can see right now is, that the card is at least as fast as the Titan, which in fact was always faster than then GTX 780 The Ti is cheaper than the Titan - so this is good news The Ti has the same cooler as the Titan - also good news. I don't have experience how good and how stable the Ti is with OC, I am running it at +80 MHz for now. I haven't connected a power meter yet to the system The QRB system is helping any faster card more than slower cards - so the Ti is well positioned to benefit from it. Based on initial observations, for folding I would go for the Ti, instead of Titan and 780 if I have to make a decision not only on initial cost but cost over the lifecycle (energy & ppd) The Titan is still champ on double precision FP, but this is not needed here. Versus the 780, purchase price vs. ppd might be a tie, but the energy efficiency will probably be better with the Ti. (to be verified)

It's 2am - time for bed :) A quick recap: The 200k ppd and above WUs looked like initial edge cases. In the average the slightly overclocked Ti achieved tpfs of 1:23 (P7810) which translates into 184k ppd. The Titan in the same system and set to the same shader frequency achieved tpfs of 1:26 and 175k ppd. A ppd plus of 5%, a tpf plus of 3.6% (but much better price) EVGA Precision (upgraded to the latest version) cannot properly display the memory bus frequency - its a bug. I cross checked with GPU Shark. There the tool reports the 7 GHz memory bus speed of the Ti. Why the Ti does not offer 7% more throughput at the same frequency vs. the Titan - I don't know yet. (15 vs. 14 SMX) Temp in the Coolermaster BX case is well under control Andy

I get around 180k PPD on my 780s when you average the three core 17 projects together, but that is at a rather high OC (1215 MHz Boost vs. 902 MHz Boost at stock). I'm not sure anyone knows yet how high you can push a 780 Ti.

The 7810/7811 projects give a few less points than 8900. You might be seeing Ti numbers for 7810/7811 and stock numbers for 8900.

Hmmm, according to my HFM.net, 7810's give the most PPD at ~178K, followed by 8900's at ~172K then 7811's at 168K. This is on a 780 Classified at 1175mhz core. Strange thing is, back in September I was getting ~195K on 7810's, ~187K on 7811's and 181K on 8900's. This was at a clock of 1296 or so.

I got my new EVGA 780 Ti ACX card today. Here is what I am seeing so far. I have not had too much chance to overclock yet but the below seems to be running stable. I do not have any Titan's or 780's to compare to. However, my 7970s @ 1.15 GHz run at a TPF of 3:39 with p8900. This ACX cooler is impressive overall. The cooler runs fairly quiet while keeping the GPU cool under load. I think this may be the quietest card I have owned followed by the EVGA 680 Signature 2 which is also of a dual fan design.
