On the following pictures i use a H60 Cooler, with the original fan set as push and a SCYTHE SLIP STREAM 120MM FAN 1900RPM as the pull fan!..

here is a pic of the cooling!

IDLE temps! since it downclocks to 1600 mhz this will always be idle temps :P

first try 4.5 ghz - went fine!
then Running 4.8 ghz with High Fan speed!..

5 ghz!!! high fan speed! :D (look maximum temps after 31 min of linx, the temp fell right before i took this screen pic)

5.1 ghz!! :D

i have now been testing, and i am stable! , when i run games like dirt 3, black ops, Crimecraft and more, my temps are around 55*C.. happy with my cooling actually..! :)..
(when gaming at 5.1 ghz it has rised a bit to max 60*C in normal room temperature! but since i do not run at full fan speed that could be the answer!)..
and ofcouse i will answer all PM's about help to overclock and H60 performance ! :)

BIOS EDITS To Run 5.1ghz!! Using Asus P8P67 Motherboard! :)
AI Tweaker
AI overclock Tuner = Manual
BCLK/PEG = 100
turbo ratio = by per core
set all cores to 51 (51 * 100 = 5100)
memory frequency = 1600 mhz
EPU = Disabled

load-line calibration = ultra high
VRM frequency = auto
Phase control = extreme
Duty control = extreme
CPU current capability = 110%

Voltage control
CPU voltage = 1.48
CPU PLL voltage = 1.80 (depends on what batch u got since mine is a good one, but u might up this one a bit)

Now u run 5.1 GHZ stable!! i am, but since not all CPU's are the same it can vary on the CPU voltage!!
If you found my guide, Good Luck getting to 5.1! .. should be reachable with the right cooling!..
ALL OVERCLOCKING CAN HARM, just thought i would say that!

Looks good I wonder what the individual cores are running at. You can use Real Temp http://www.techpowerup.com/realtemp/

Run LinX again I'd be very interested in seeing the H60 results. This program will keep track of your high and low temps which will show what most will want to know about it's performance.
I just got my 2600k yesterday and my Z68A-GD80 should be here by Wed. I'm on the fence between the H60, H70 or the Antec Kuhler 920. A close inspection of both H7- & 920 as reviewed show they are one in the same but the Antec versions comes with a nice app for windows
In any case I hope to see more results thanks for sharing.

as i said i will be posting more pics tonight,, it is 8 pm here in denmark, and i am currently gaming with some mates.. when i am done i will se if i can get clocks up higher , and give u a screenshot of realtemp! :)..

i am very satisfied with the H60.. i am running cool, fans on minimum when gaming even... only when running linx and so on i push fans to maximum..
when running windows i have a idle (4.5ghz) at 33-35 degrees.. but since i am running asus which will not let me turn off the idle mode thing, it keeps jumping to 1600 mhz idle mode.. still though.. when running games it is about 40-45 degrees (i am living in a room which is very dependant on the weather, so if it is hot outside = hot in here, cold outside = cold in here too :P.. ).. and still fans on minimum! ;)..

i know :).. i actually read that guide.. but what i really liked was this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vBN-cBPs98 .. this video is a guy showing off the UEFI bios, and even showing how to overclock a 2600k to 4.8ghz on that motherboard! :) in video where he explains everything except the voltages.. he just says "we go with 1.4 cpu core for this overclock" and thats it :P..

    i have my 2500k using basic p8p67@ 4.7 ghz
i booted with 4.9before but temps were in 80's using cooler master 212+

    using these settings :
voltage is manual set to 1.38
disabled turbo and changed the cpu ration to 47
enable speed step and the CE1 ( just save juice)

    your VRM+DIGI

    set them to high
    auto
    extreme
    extreme

if you use more than high the motherboard pushes the cpu voltage up by big factore. your better off slowley increasing and decreasing them.

internal PLL is enable. everything else is in auto.

I just got my roommates new 2500k rig stable at 4.5 today, took a lot more juice than yours though to get it there. It would probably take way too much to get to 4.8 lol. Nice chip you got there though.

same motherboard as me?.. p8p67.. mine is running 1.36v vcore in bios! :).. should be enough! :)
just hit up the multiplier up to 48 and leave the BCLK frequency at 100! :).. should run nicely from there! :)..
that beeing said watch the video i mentioned ealier in this thread.. helped me a lot looking through this new kind of bios! :)

i use a standard fan for the H60!.. and put on another 120mm on the other side so it has 2 fans.. i use the standard to push and the weaker one i had to pull :)
but again, at low fan speeds, at 80 degrees it is not cool at all..! :P.. my mind keeps telling me that the cpu shouldn't get above 72 degrees :P.. but at 4.8 it should generate some heat though! :)..

running fine in games.. 50 degrees in crysis after a half an hour!! :)

Those temps look reasonable considering your voltage and clock. The 4.8 looks like a sweet spot for your build. My goal is to run 5.0 24/7 so that would likely take x50 with 1.39-1.4 vCore if I'm lucky. It's looking like I'll need to step up a bit to the H70 or 920 based on your results.

don't know.. the H70 doesn't really outperform the H60.. based on my search before i bought the H60 we were talking 1 or 2 degrees at a fairly overclocked cpu! :)..

or even better go for custom water cooling.. :).. don't really see what cooling beats H60/H70 without going custom water cooling? :).. normal air don't and if it does it makes hell of noise, making it impossible to be in the room! :P

You should get slightly better results by placing the stronger fan in the pull position and make the weaker one push air through the rad.

HeThing told me to use this one as pull (he gave me 4 of those btw!)  http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/acc/026/sy1225sl_detail.html

and the fan coming with the H60 to pull..
so i did, but maybe he is wrong? .. :).. i don't blame him! :)..

Slipstreams have a lot of CFM but not much static pressure so they can't move much air through the rad.  The stock H60 fan has more pressure so it might actually be better the way you have it now, nevermind what I said before.

i can promise u, the way i got it now, at full fan speed it shoots!!! air out the back :P.. so i am pretty happy about the way it is now! :)..

and i am happy about finally pulling myself together and got it to 4.8ghz! :)..

Yes very good overclocking so far.  Next up is 5 GHz.

Whenever you want to you can replace the fans and get superior performance with less noise.  But you're doing fine for now, those temps are similar to my 4.2 GHz i5 760, which is cooled by a Prolimatech Megahalems and a 64 DBA fan.  So you have a lot of headroom left when it comes to temps.

hehe.. can u list some better fans for me? .. maybe even some that don't make as much noise? .. those i use are quite noisy! :)..

but again.. not much headroom left since i hit 80 degrees at low fan speed! :P.. and i hate beeing over minimum fan speed since it is very noisy! :P.. but again, i am wearing headset at most of the time :P..

You might want to pick up a pair of Scythe GentleTyphoon AP-29s, you should get slightly less noise (especially if undervolted, they're great at it) and noticeably better temps.

The ones below will perform even better at the cost of four decibels.

seems like they have very short blades and very big motors?.. is that true? ..
isn't it better when moving a lot of air to have big blades and small motor.. that motor will only have to move at half speed ?? .. or is it me that is wrong?

The motor hub is that large because of the quality of the fan... these things last forever.  Minimizing it as much as possible will improve air being moved by the fan blades but because of the blade design these fans are the best performing 120mm x 25mm fans you can get... well they also have higher RPM versions which are a bit more insane.  You can find lots of fan comparisons below.

    http://www.overclock.net/air-cooling/724577-well-dressed-megahalems-65-fans-112-a.html

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?170224-XS-Fan-Review-Part-2

The static pressure on the AP-29 is over 5 mmH20 while the static pressure on the San Ace I listed is 6.5 mmH20... much more than the Slipstream (under 3 mmH20) and I believe the Corsair fans are under 4 mmH20.  This means they can overcome air resistance much more easily, or move air through obstructions more easily.  CFM is nice at, 83 on the Scythe and 88 on the San Ace and noise levels are great thanks to the quality ball bearing design.

yea okay :).. i got the 1900 rpm skythe

    SY1225SL12SH         1,900 rpm        37.00 dBA        110.31CFM
so it is 110 cfm! :)..

ty for the links!..  so what is best?.. a good fan with as much mmH20 as possible to push air through the radiator, and a fan with as much CFM as possible to pull it out? .. :)

wow much better temps than I'm getting (60*C @ 4.0Ghz max load) I guess I messed up the thermal paste :(

that being said watch the video i mentioned earlier in this thread.. helped me a lot looking through this new kind of bios! :)

No, not same board, its a Gigabyte Z68 board. Unsure as to the exact model off the top of my head. But, It takes 1.39 Vcore in the BIOS to get it stable at 4.5., Plus on top of that I'm pretty sure I'm not getting accurate info from the BIOS to the desktop as CPUID reports the proper frequency, but other monitoring software is only reporting the stock frequency. Not sure whats going there. Hopefully its just the board causing the problem, cause Id hate to think he got a poor pick of the litter when it comes to his chip. I've also got all the power saving options disabled in the BIOS (speedstep, C1E, etc.).

(Bear in mind this is not the system in my sig.)

I'll post up a template later or tomorrow morning when I get more time to mess with it and we'll see if we can get it dialed in.

hey, i have that same problem.. even realtemp can't seem to figure out what my clock speed is.. but both cpu-z and the asus sensor say that my frequency is 4800 mhz! :)..

max load is different.. as i posted in top my H60 has a bit difficulty running linx (70*C at high fan speed, 80*C at low.. .. what cooling are u currently using? :)..

i used the thermal paste that was allready on cooler when i got it, didn't buy some better ;).. guess it works fine! :D..

i am currently running at medium fan speed , and in games i see temps around 55*C.. so not bad at all.. Idle i run at 36*C but that is cuz it downclocks to 1600 mhz every time i go idle :P..

with max fan while folding I get 60*C @ 4.0Ghz. I just have the stock Corsair fan pulling air. Wednesday I'm going to re-do the thermal paste, put another fan on (a Scythe 130CFM one) as pull and use the corsair to push air through, and add a side (110CFM) fan to blow air on the mobo. I hope that gets my temps down so I c an push 5+ Ghz. I guess this is a lesson for not doing your own thermal paste

hmm.. yea follow what i did and use corsair fan to push and scythe to pull! :).. .. i used the thermal paste that followed with the cooler and seems to work fine for me :P..

but yea.. with that done, we should be able to push 5ghz :P.. i am almost there! ;).. the problem is temps though :(.. couldn't really imagine giving more power to the cpu, and still beeing the same place  with temps.. at low fan speeds i hit 80 :P.. so please!, post ur results! :).. maybe i will buy some thermal paste to give the last degrees! :P

To answer your fan question, for radiators you want a high pressure fan.  Slipstreams suffer from both poor static pressure and poor lifespan because of the very cheap motor, and the sleeve bearings don't give it a nice noise profile.
