Hey guys, my 2 week old 760 crashes or black screens forcing me to restart everytime I run firestrike. I've tried down clocking the card as low as it will go still black screens. I also get random freezes in ACU screen freezes for 15 seconds than goes back to normal. my system is

i5-760@ 4.2 ghz
p55ftw evga
corsair xms3 16 gb @ 1600mhz 9-9-9-27
evga gtx760 sc acx 2gb
psu corsair 750w

I've ran prime 95 for 4hrs and also ran memtest for an hour no issues with either cpu or memory!

Time to try testing with all hardware at default clock speeds.

just ran firestrike with no jam ups 's card underclocked -105 on gpu -100 on mem scored 5400. I have to run to work because I'm on call but when I get back I will try to just underclock gpu memory.

Sounds like you found the problem.

I have the same GPU and it seems to be working with those clock speeds as well. Thanks, Sajin.

well I think I need the help of EVGA! It's hard to say because I never tried running firestrike before I updated the bios on my 760 but the bios update didn't go well for me I had to uninstall presicion to get it to work and now I'm finding bios one crashes in firestrike no matter what bios 2 I can run firestrike stock or with small overclock. I think I have a bum card.

Make sure all components in your PC are at stock settings. Once that is done try playing a demanding game and see if you still have crashes.

it's not a oc issue the system ran fine  for 2 yrs. with my 570 in it. I have also ran 4hrs of each prime 95 program and ran memtest on all ram no problems. Also the card seems fine in bios 2 other than poor OC'ing ability, it's almost as if bios 1 got corrupted during flash.

After I installed my new GTX 780 Ti I was also having trouble with Fire Strike...something would always go wrong with the benchmark, it might freeze, or I'd get audio problems. What I did was to uninstall anything Futuremark, rebooted, ran CCleaner, rebooted again, and then installed a fresh version of 3D Mark. Also, when running Firestrike, disable Precision and Afterburner. It now runs fine.

EDIT: OK, I ran a Fire Strike benchmark with my GPU at default and not running in Precision or Afterburner and posted my results below. I then applied my overclock to an opened Afterburner and ran the benchmark again and also posted below. It seems the Fire Strike benchmark should be able to deal with Precision or Afterburner.

In most cases if Firestrike and 3DMark 11 crash problem is unstable clock.
Manufacturers can't simulate every situation when they launch some series and when some bug show up or little harder task if card no 40-50MHz space over fabric clock and can't pass benchmark test on 50MHz higher clock than fabric she will become unstable when such situation show up and other will pass because big distance between fabric clock and last stable clock.

well I uninstalled all futuremark apps. and ran cccleaner reinstalled with the same problems I'm pretty sure it's just an f'd up card. Like I said before in bios 1 it cant even run firestrike downclocked 100%. I also set pc to default and retested my OC. I'm thinking I'll return the card to microcenter and just get the 970 4gb version!

OK, so after uninstalling anything Futuremark from "Program and Features", and then going into "Program Files" and "Program Files (x86) and deleting anything Futuremark from those two files, you rebooted and then ran CCleaner (registry cleaner) and rebooted again? After doing that you only reinstalled 3DMark and nothing else from Futuremark like 3DMark 11? This is what I did to fix my problem.
