Wanted to make a post opposite of the worst games ever purchased. So I'll start it!

Ultima Online - I was pretty young when I first played it. Maybe in the late 90's but it was the game to first introduce me into an open world and being able to do pretty much anything. Now with all the MMO's that are out and coming out, I hope that one will take sandbox route and be successful with it and there will be that much freedom in an MMO again.

Skyrim! How can this not make the list. Having played Morrowind w/ BM and Oblivion w/ Isles (No Elder Scrolls games before that), Bethesda has really come a long way and as the years pass their games only improve. Especially with how great the modding community is with games like make the game 100% better. Skyrim is one of those games you can get bored with stop playing for a few months and dive right back into it, the game that keeps on giving.
 
Battlefield 3. I noticed that BF3 was a huge regret for a lot of people in the other post. BF3 is such an awesome FPS, can't wait till BF4 whenever that is suppose to come out.
 
Planetside - If I hear the music of the original PlanetSide nostalgia starts building up. Absolutely can't wait to see what PS2 will bring.

Random 2 Console games...

Final Fantasy X - To me Final Fantasy died after FFX, spent so many hours in the Doom cave building up my characters trying fill the sphere grid. Wakka and Auron were too sweet for their own good.

Red Dead Redemption - I wish they would make more Western Games but it would be hard to compete with the quality of RDR. Loved the open world feel of the game, go out hunting and hope not to get demolished by a grizzly bear.  

This was just a short list to get things going, looking forward to what other people think.

(1) Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl. Probably my favorite!
(2) Mass Effect 2.
(3) Metro2033.
(4) Crysis. Years ago, I played this on my new Sager NP5793 when I was sick as heck for a month. 30 FPS at all high settings & no AA.
 
Skyrim (all modded out) is looking pretty nice & will be moving higher in the list. I love the fact that you can go anywhere and just get into trouble & take over bandit fort after fort..

For Multiplayer, I played the 1.02 version of Jedi Outcast for a while. I don't have much time for real involved MP stuff, but I'm currently looking for something else.

 
 

Ive been playing Guild Wars 2 since the pre purchased date and im loving it.  If you are a WOW fan, you will love this game.  BF3 is really fun, if you love the first person, massive multiplayer, and vehicle driving you will like this game as well.  Otherwise borderlands 2 is coming out this month, it is suppose to be a big hit as well. 

Can't wait to get back to the states and play GW2. Played WoW off and on for some time. As much as I hate the game, and Ghostcrawler...I can't say that I hate it, had a lot of fun times back in vanilla and BC.

^ Smart guy!  For me it's S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl and Call of Pripyat, some of the only open world/free roam games with a great story, and I love the brutal unforgiving gameplay.  I must also mention the Penumbra games and Amnesia, some of the most underrated hidden gem games out there.  Skyrim was clearly worth all my money, as I'm 477 hours in.

I'm really curious, how can you be excited for MoH Warfighter and BF4? Battlefield 4 is going to be nothing but a BF3 clone, and BF3 is terrible enough. What else is there to add? Some new maps? BF3 already has a good selection of weapons and maps. They've already said it's going to be set in a modern setting, so it's confirmed to be Generic Modern Military Shooter #500.
 
As for Warfighter, it looks identical to BF3, maybe a little prettier. Why play 3 of the same games..?

Il2 1946, modded UP3.  still the best ww2 aircombat game
 
Company of Heroes. same maps over and over in ranked games but still the best RTS going.

I don't understand how that was a personnel attack, the last MOH was terrible (its pretty much fact), COD is terrible (fact), Crysis 2 (compared to 1) is terrible, BF4 will be clone of BF3 so ya it'll be terrible because...well it'll just be COD so ya terrible. I just wanna know how you think COD is good.
 
Anyway, my list of good games game I think aren't terrible
1) SupCom to SupCom:FA, they made good changes, better story, new units, etc
2) UT04 a decent FPS in terms of MP other than that it was terrible but still fun
3) BFBC2 terrible but fun
4) Mass Effect 2 (with Cheat Engine) they improved a lot of ME1 and made other things a lot worse but as an overall package it was probably the best of the ME series
