Taken from the manual:
Minimum System Requirements: System Power Supply Minimum 600 W or greater system power supply with two 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.
Operating System Microsoft Windows 8, 32-bit or 64-bit
Microsoft Windows 7, 32-bit or 64-bit Linux, 32-bit or 64-bit
System Memory 24 GB system memory (48 GB recommended) > DVD-ROM drive or internet connection for driver installation > 300 MB of available hard disk space

If these are minimum system requirements then how could they recommend Windows 7 32 bit since it that OS only recognizes 4gb system memory.  I don't buy it. It has to be a typo.

The software requirement for a graphics card is to run the driver, not the software that uses the graphics card.  It is misleading, but assumed the user would know better.

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].

Previously (I don't know about it now) but the manual stated it required 4 to 8GB. Spoke with NVidia specifically about it. They said they are going to change it in the manual. It has been confirmed to be a typo, which means that 24-48 IS a requirement.

24 GB is not a requirement, I will say that much. Maybe 12 GB, but certainly not 24 GB with how games are currently working. Until someone can max out all 12 GB, hard to say for sure. Closest I've gotten was 11,660~ MB.

It is a requirement according to NVidia.

I am still having the same issue with my 16 GB and the Titan X SC, I tested my RAM with memtest+ overnight, no problems with it. All games are stable windows is stable, but for some reason with OC test it still is causing the "windows out of memory" error and it won't use more than 4 GB of my VRAM.

Also Dying light caused the same windows running out of memory error after playing it for a while it sucked up 10 gigs of system RAM and windows destabilized and both game and windows started having graphic issues then game crashed. Although other games like shadows of mordor used 6 GB of VRAM and windows was stable, that kinda makes me think it's not really using 6 GB.

I suggest speaking to someone from NVidia to hear it for yourself.

So does this mean that the 24gb RAM speed and latency that you have installed in your system actually matters more when it uses it? I read that the Titan X Vram speed is kind of slow. I wonder if it can be mitigated by this?

Set your page file to system managed and try again.

I will try that when I get home, I did change it I had it at 1-2GB then I upped it to 5.5 as they recommended still happened maybe it needs to be higher I really don't want to be using swap file lol

Also not sure why it's always at the 10 GB system RAM usage mark, the Titan obviously isn't using too much ram....wait a min...the test stops at ~4 GB VRAM then sucks up my Sys RAM up to ~9-10GB then Win throws up the mem running out warning. So maybe it's trying to utilize 12 but is only using 4GB of VRAM and the other 8 or so are from system because of what Nvidia said was going on. And because of other programs using ram it runs out?

Anyway I'll have the additional 16 GB of RAM coming soon.

This is with System managed page file ? I hope that is all I need then. such an odd thing to cause me so many issues if that's the answer

The only reason I haven't had it System managed is because of guides I've read for optimal SSD usage.

When you say "system managed" I believe you're referring to the OS. I have a Samsung 850 Pro with the Magician software managing OS settings for optimal SSD use. Is this the same thing? Magician software automatically sets this up under the optimal settings tab (optimal performance) I believe.

True. And in Win 10 Tech Preview and DX12 there's much better gpu utilization. Just no sli supported yet. Should be out this summer so those with a 32 bit system can make do till then and get Win 10 for free.
I wanted to wait for evga too, but gave in and went the nNvidia direct route. 2 Titan X's in sli. Incredibly happy with the purchase, even if with tax and shipping it was about $200 more than if I waited for Newegg or Evga to get them in.

i posted this on another thread, but this is what happened when i spoke to Nvidia chat.

Quote "We are not really sure how the people are managing to get it work on 16 GB PC because the card itself is a 12 GB card. With 16 GB card, they might be able to run the card but in future, they will face performance issues. The minimum requirement is atleast 24 GB"

I then asked what kind of issues and got "They might face stuttering, lag , tearing or eventually, the card may stopped working."

Exact words the Rep told me...what I'm trying to figure out with reading multiple forums including geforce ones, is why some are having issues not getting more then 4 utilized and others are running fine.

In the NVIDIA control panel under system information both of my cards show as 12288MB for dedicated video memory. Running EVGA OC Scanner X v3 Furry E (GPU Memory burner::3072MB) test I was able to allocate 5.6GB of VRAM with only 16GB of RAM installed.

So what is it there are so many different takes on this one... People with 24gb ram or less do you see 12GB vram ? or 4gb vram ? also can you guys use up to 8-9-10 gb vram ? would be nice to clear this out.

What about your pagefile system ? auto-managed ? or size specified ?
