my first test of battlefield 4 i was hitting fps cap of 200 map after map for close to 3 hrs it was great i had a smile ear to ear cause everything was ultra, i go to bed wake up open the game again and now i am lucky if i get 75fps i sit mostly at 30-40 this is well below what i have ever had even with a single GTX980 and it is consistent now i can reboot close all apps and i get the same low fps my cards are still in SLI mode i am not sure whats up anyone else have an issue like this?

Gosh, that is such a drastic performance dip being you're running 3x 980's. Really the only thing I can think of is perhaps an SLI Bridge issue, or power supply issue. BUT! For starters, It wouldn't hurt to completely close EVGA Precision, or MSI afterburner if they are open(I have had those programs cause major performance issues). If that doesn't help, re-install your display drivers. if that doesn't work, see what happens when you remove a card, and run 2-way SLI.

I am blaming the drivers. I had the 200fps easily achieved with my 2 way cards (listed in my signature) and with 3 way, it used to peg it there with very minimal dips. Not, it doesn't want to go past 140 ever. The only thing that ever changes was the driver, so I am thinking they are the issue honestly.

yeah after a few days of testing many different game titles i got way more fps running 2way sli GTX780s then i get with 3way sli GTX980s it is not even close this is for all games i tested and i am talking 35-60fps vs 180-155fps. using the same settings that i had the games in when i played them with the 780s.

Assassins creed black flag, BF4, RUST,Watch_dogs,Wolfenstein: The New Order, Sleeping dogs:Definitive ed and a few others

I know Sajin has suggested running 344.11 in another thread. He says this one is the best one for SLI configurations. I'm hoping my 980s improve too. For some reason, they're having a hard time pulling more than 50 fps in Total War Rome II at 1920x1080 at max settings, when the other websites I'm reading tell me I should be getting 140 without a frame rate cap.

i narrowed mine down to only 3way sli i tested all 3 cards in different configurations with SLI 2way and i get the above 144fps that i used to get with my 2 GTX780 ti's
added 3way sli back and i am back to gaming 30fps. =((( so annoying.
