link: http://www.bit-tech.net/n...-tech.net+News+Feed%29 Razer shows Battlefield 3 peripherals Published on 19th August 2011 by Clive Webster ![](http://images.bit-tech.net/news_images/2011/08/razer-shows-battlefield-3-peripherals/article_img.jpg) The first of the Battlefield 3 Razer peripherals is this modified BlackWidow Ultimate keyboard. Razer has announced a range of Battlefeild 3 Collector’s Edition gaming peripherals, which are based around top-end items from Razer's current range, and will feature Battlefield 3 artwork. The keyboard is based around the BlackWidow Ultimate design, which uses Cherry keys and will cost $140. There will also be a BF3-themed Imperator mouse, with its trademark adjustable thumb buttons, which will cost $80. To go with those PC peripherals, there's a Scarab hardcover mouse mat, which features the Razer Fractal 2.0 surface to aid tracking; this will cost $40. For those that prefer their military thrills on a console, there's the Onza Tournament Edition Xbox 360 gamepad, which has adjustable-resistance thumbsticks and programmable Multi-Function buttons. This will cost $60. According to Razer ‘ This suite of gaming weaponry fully equips fans of Battlefield 3 to take on the most intense firefights and emerge victorious. They’ll be empowered with competitive gaming features like faster key actuation on the Razer BlackWidow, increased swiping precision with the Razer Imperator, enhanced tracking accuracy with the Razer Scarab and fully customizable controls on the Razer Onza.’ The range will even extend to other devices, with Razer announcing a BF3 silicone case for the iPhone 4 ($20) and a BF3 messenger bag ' constructed with tear-resistant, weather-proof heavy-duty 1680D ballistic' which will costs $80. Do you need a peripheral upgrade for Battlefield 3, and if so, does the BF3 BlackWidow Ultimate suit your tastes? Let us know in the forum. Why does the BF3 image on the mouse look so...3D like? I must say cool looking gear.

Yeah i think they did a great job with the gear but yeah they do overprice their products. Also i wish they would fix some of their mousepads so they dont tear after a few months of usage.

Also i wish they would fix some of their mousepads so they dont tear after a few months of usage. Razer is definetly a overpriced brand, when i was buying a new gaming mouse, i thought of either Razer or Logitech, but i decided to go for Logitech cause i have experience with their customer support (which is just AWSOME) and it was cheaper (and better) too. For the mousepads, idk, i have a Goliathus Control and it's serving me very well ![](https://forums.evga.com/upfiles/smiley/thumbup.gif)

I have an oversized control as well which is acutally faster than their speed editions lol,,they market their products so oddly if u ask me lol. But yeah its sort of like a rough texture but the mouse glides soo smooothly accross it. Dont get me wrong, I really really love the mousepad but after a few months of gaming strands starting fraying off the edges and snagging could occur. Also , DO NOT EAT DORITOS OVER YOUR RAZOR PADS OR THE crumbs will beomce embedded inside your pad causing you pain and frustration as you attempt to clean it rofl. I have so much food debris in my pad cuz ima fatty when i play pc games. I guess they dont go hand in hand for me.

Getting the mouse Pad, already have a BlackWidow Ultimate, and if the mouse was a DeathAdder I would get that as well. So I think I'll just pick up the mouse pad it looks like. need to find a matching wallpaper.

I don't think 140$ is to bad for a limited edition Mech keyboard. a normal mech with cherry blues will go for around 100$ and that's w/o the lighting and.. stuff. that being said, as much as i love razer mice, they never seem to last and I would imagine the same will go for their keyboards.

My first two Razer Keyboards were something left to be desired. Then they announced the BlackWidow. Figured 3rd times a charm and would give them one last chance. I love it, to me it's solid with Zero issues. Only had problems with one mouse, and that was the Mamba. My DeathAdder on the other hand is the best mouse I have ever laid hands on. Love that mouse to death. Had for over a year and it is still working like new. Still looks new to and I use it every day for 6+ Hours a day. Mamba lasted one month.

I had Lachesis, 3 of them so far and none have last a year. I have heard good things about the Deathadder and I may need to try one as soon as my CM Storm mice croak. as far as the BW, I have heard mixed views but overall It seems like a good board.
