So THIS has really pissed me off. I have a 780 ti reference card. On Precision X I have the fan profile slightly customized to be at higher speeds almost 100% of the time since it's not loud at all.

Anyways I CONSTANTLY HAVE IT REACHING 80C BECAUSE THE FAN PROFILE DOESN'T TURN ON AND IT STAYS AT 58% FAN. I'll go into Precision X and check and lo-and-behold, 58% fan and the "Auto" box is checked. I was playing BF4 and it hit 83C and CRASHED ON ME. This wouldn't happen if I had a gpu temp overlay on BF4 but sadly it doesn't work. I have tried other fan controller software but Precision X is the main one and it allows me to get a more stable overclock for some reason (+115 on the core, +145 on the memory) past +130 is where I get crashes and my current one is stable for +24 hours and no higher than 70C. Anyways THIS should NOT happen on the supplied software for this card. I love EVGA but this is a serious problem for me since I can't check my gpu temps and make sure the fan profile is working every minute. Fixes would be very nice. Sorry for the caps but this could potentially break my card and depending on the RMA I could be SOL for nearly $700.

EDIT: My face right now.

First of all, this thread really belongs in the EVGA software section of this forum, not here.

Second, which version of Precision X are you using?

This procedure will most likely fix your issue:
1) Uninstall all other monitoring programs which access GPU temp and fan speed. It is common for software conflicts to occur if more than one program is accessing the video card information at the same time; which causes this issue. Uninstall programs like speedfan, realtemp, GPUz, everest, aida, afterburner (select NOT to save profile information when you uninstall Afterburner), and any desktop widgets like rainmeter with gpu monitoring plugins. If you do not want to uninstall one of these programs, at least make sure that those programs don't start with windows and are not running.
2) Uninstall Precision and select NOT to save profile information.
3) Reboot your computer.
4) Reinstall your graphics driver. When you reinstall your graphics driver, select the custom install option, select clean install method, and deselect Geforce Experience (do not install geforce experience).
5) The clean driver install method will cause your computer to reboot.
6) After the driver is installed and the computer has rebooted, install Precision.

You should have no more issues.

Time to disable the monitors one at a time and see what's happening, thanks.

You have to disable ALL the monitors. There is no "Magic" program to uninstall to get it working.
