Hello everyone, first of all I want to say that this is my first post here and I'm kind of new in all this(computer upgrading), and that english is not my main language so any advice will be apreciated.

To the topic.. about 4 months ago I bought a Evga Gtx 970 (had a gtx 750 before), so the first thing I did when I installed the gpu was playing GTA V (after optimizing with Nvidia Geforce Experience) .. and I noticed a lot a fps drops.. and some strange horizontal lines (the lines lasted almost nothing, but still annoying), specially when i was riding a car and turned (the best representation i found is this: ).
So I turned the graphics on a lower setting.. (remember I optimized using Nvidia Experience).. i kept turning the graphs lower until I noticed a smooth gameplay but then i realiced I was playing on the (almost) same graphics as I used to play when I had my GTX 750.. after that I never played gta again (rage quit)..
But a couple days ago I bought Diablo 3.. 2012 game and again I found myself turning some graphic options off or lower to run it smoothly (like micro lag spikes again, no horizontal lines this time).. I dont know if i expected too much for this gpu.. but I belive something's wrong. Any idea what could it be?

My PC specs:

Intel I7 4770k 3.5ghz
8Gb ddr3 1600
EVGA GTX 970 4GB
Z87 PRO (V Edition)
24" Monitor (Samsung T24B350)
21" Monitor (Samsung S22D300) (I desactivate it when I play)
128GB Toshiba SSD
1Tb Western Digital Blue

All my drivers are updated.

Thanks in advance!

#1 Never use/install geforce experience.
#2 Perform a clean install of most recent video drivers. (#2)
#2 Delete game .cfg files and let the game/games rebuild them on next start.
#4 Adjust game settings manually.

Report back with how your games are working after doing the above steps.

#5 Always perform a clean install of drivers if you experience issues after installing a new card. 362.00 will suffice
#6 Try add another 8GB of RAM(total of 16GB)
#7 What PSU are you using and how old is it?

@DeathAngel74 I'll probably buy more ram soon, and my psu is a 600w(or 650w) coolermaster.. may that be an issue?

Yep, he's a magician when it comes to things like gpus , and I'm pretty sure he didn't need his wand for this one.

I often use GFE when updating drivers, on a Windows Insider build, Express install. I figure that it I run into any issues, I can fix them. Aside from the recent SLI bug (unrelated to GFE), it has yet to cause my video cards to fly out of the PC, change the Windows start-up sound to "Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing on Rainbows", or spoil the milk in the fridge. Yes, there may have been bugs in the past, but if people don't install it, and report the bugs, they can't get fixed. Other than recommending to disable the Shield Streaming service (this has no effect on Twitch/Livestream streaming, etc.) if you don't have a Shield, GFE is quite harmless.

GFE will change your Pepsi into Coke or vice versa while you sleep?

Can you forward a link to the "SLI bug"? I'm curious about this as I have not had experiences on this.
