1815 Mhz boost clock minimum on the 2080 Super, so they are all basically binned TU104's with a few more cores.  There was rumor a couple months back that soon "all chips would be of the higher bin level", so that seems to have been correct.

$699 for the reference card, so pretty comparable to what binned 2080's have been going for on sale.  Will be interesting to see vendor pricing.

Is this supposed to make me happy because it doesn't? I just purchased your very expensive RTX 2080 FTW3 and along comes a more powerful version of essentially the same card for the same price. It also instantly makes my card worth far less than what I paid for it. Not cool!:(

Register your card for warranty ASAP and wait for the step-up program to offer a 2080 Super.  Return it if within 30 days.  Or step up to a 2080 Ti.

Just out of curiosity, do you have the regular FTW3 or the Ultra FTW3?  The regular one is not that strong because it doesn't have a binned chip (1710 mhz boost clock) and can't run the 130% power bios.  The FTW3 Ultra has a 1860mhz boost clock, binned chip and 130% power bios, it should as powerful as most 2080 supers.

Thanks kevinc313 for the suggestions.:) I have the RTX 2080 FTW3 Ultra gaming. Unfortunately I purchased my card 75 days ago so I can't return it. I only have 15 days left on my step-up.  I considered stepping up but other than going to a 2080ti it would be a downgrade because I can't get the FTW3 Ultra variant only the XC.

I purchased a EVGA RTX 2070 ultra gaming back in January. Out of curiosity, how does my card i purchased compare to the new 2070 super? my monitor is an Alienware ad3418dw at 3440 x 1440

With G-Sync, everything i play is nice, but is the 2070 super a difference maker?

Just trying to ease my mind after dropping $600 six months ago.   Thanks :)

You have one of the best air cooled 2080's out there, especially if it has samsung memory too.  I wouldn't sweat it.  I'm guessing your card will be as good or better than most 2080 supers and within 5% of the 2080 super FTW3 Ultra.

I just stepped up to the 2080 Ti XC and its been very impressive so far, coming from a basic 2080.  Binned chip and samsung memory.  People complaining about too much heat are running it at 130% and expecting miracles.  At 110% power full load and max fans (not all that loud) mine stabilizes at 67C.  With mild OC of 105% power, +50mhz clock, +500mhz mem, got a 14,561 graphics Timespy score, temps right around 60C with 85-90% fans.

I've also picked up a hybrid kit on sale to install for like $120.  So that puts me about $1350 all in.  If you paid full MSRP for the FTW3, it might make sense to step up, otherwise I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks. Yeah, I am just going to keep what I have and enjoy it. This whole "Super" release just kind of bothers me because it is way to soon for these cards to come out IMO. I do love my 2080 FTW3. I runs super cool and the Samsung RAM overclocks like a beast.:)

I'm in the same boat as you.:) I would say the new FTW3 model will be about 10% faster than our cards.

I posted benchmarks in the Nvidia link above, though I obviously don't believe them. Everyone seems to accept the 2080 is about the same performance as the 1080Ti.  The 2070S is a cut down 2080.  So go figure how that compares to what you have.

What timespy graphics score do you get with that card on your normal OC settings?  My 2080 blower card seemed weak, it did a record of 11.3K but only 10k-10.5K on normal stable settings, hot too.

I have about 20 days left on my EVGA 2060 XC Ultra step-up. Hopefully the super version will be available before my time is up.

Thanks for that. I've been reading reviews a bit this morning and most 2070 super reviews seem to compare to a standard 2070. Maybe more will creep up later that will include my 2070.

mine is running just about everything i throw at it fine as G-sync is a beautiful thing.

Maybe a few years down the road something substantial will be out worth picking up. I can't quite see any reason to consider at 2070 super at this point

I got 10,658 running with default settings. With a 1300MHz overclock on my RAM and 75MHz overclock on my core I got 11,578 on Time Spy.:) This was a quick overclock and I think I could get more on the core. My first gen Ryzen 1700X is definitely holding me back because it is only running at 3800MHz all cores. When I upgrade to a second gen Ryzen 3900X watch out.:)

I have 7 days left on my step-up, having bought the 2060 XC Ultra in April. So I am going to be a day short for the Super 2060 lol. I guess the only thing that is disappointing is that the new one has 8G of VRAM but I figured 6Gs will last me a while still. So unless EVGA drops the price on the older 2070 before the 8th for the step-up program, I'll just stick with my 2060.

Nice looks like NVLink was added to the 2070-series cards.

That's because it's based on the TU104 rather than the original TU106 chip.  The TU104 (RTX 2080) is NVLink compatible unlike the TU106.

A good powerful 750W PSU isn't that bad price wise. I got a new EVGA one off of Amazon for about the price of a new game when it was on sale. I think it might have been like a Prime Day sale though. Still a good PSU is worth the investment since it's something that you could be using 10 years from now.

The webpage works under IE 11
Not really seeing anything special with the Super Card.
I am hoping that the Super Duper BOOST CLOCK will at least Start @ 2000MHz
At least the time has come for a leap in the Boot Clock from NVIDIA Graphics Cards and hold the bounds over all other Graphics Cards.
This in turn will keep the Prices down for when the Intel Graphics Card is in full swing and we have 3 real Graphics Cards on the Market.

On that note and for those wondering...

    2080 Super = 2080 Ti jr.

    2070 Super = 2080 jr.

    2060 Super = 2070 jr.

    Eh, not really imho.

2080 Super = Consumer version of Quadro RTX 5000 (full TU-104, less memory)

Damn, I recently purchased the RTX 2080. ASsuming I would only have to pay $100 more for the 2080 super, would it be worth it?
