When editing the post, how do I get the full BBcode version, and not the one with the preview of the pictures?

    Looks good.

but now your warranty is void.

If it's only the heatsink painted, I think the worst that would happen would be a potential service charge for the heatsink.  Warranty is unlikely to be voided for "damage" to the heatsink.

Cross ship, and hope you get the same model. Swap the shrouds, and you're good to go. Otherwise as NordicJedi said there would be a fee for heatsink replacement, but the warranty will remain intact.

What heat sink you talking about, it didnt look to me that he painted the heatsink.

Excellent work on the paint, especially taping off the spot for the decals. Looks really nice.

DAVE2HOT4UWhat heat sink you talking about, it didnt look to me that he painted the heatsink.

Yeah, to be precise, he painted the heat sink shroud (plastic), not the actual heat sink (which is always metal with fins).

Also, excellent for EVGA to confirm warranty coverage is still applicable. They would probably categorize this under the same rules they use for after-market cooling, basically meaning that they allow 3rd party cooling solutions to be used without breaking warranty.

They allow 3rd party coolers, but the undamaged and unmodified original cooler must be reinstalled when it comes time for a warranty replacement. Therein lay the problem in question.

One thing though... I see CPU waterblock and a radiator. Any thoughts of watercooling the GPU?
