While installing my new GTX 960, my system starts to boot up. I see the "Gateway" BIOS screen then I get one short beep from my internal speaker it does this 3 times then the screen on my monitor goes to a blinking cursor in the top left hand corner. I am not able to go into BIOS or Boot Options or Safe Mode.  Things I have tried thus far:  Removed all Graphics drivers, reseated graphics card, reseated RAM, Flashed BIOS, I have also looked for a way to disable the "Secure Boot" my BIOS does not allow for the option and when I try SHIFT + Restart in Windows I see nothing in Advanced Options.  Prior to this I was using a Radeon HD 6770 I had no problems with the installation of that card I was able to run Fallout 4 with it but after five years of use the fan blades started to fall off and it sounded like a helicopter taking off.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    From the quick looks of it, I would guess it is going to be that power supply or the mobo. Try this, take the battery out of the motherboard for a few minutes to clear cmos and try again. Just in case....

    Also, some of those store bought PCs will not let you upgrade certain hardware sometimes. That make the bios locked to the original stuff at times But seeing that you did so with the Radeon HD 6770, I am not sure.

    I would go to Gateway Drivers & Downloads to get/install the latest BIOS/Firmware version (UEFI P11.B1 dated 3/4/2014) for your DX4870 and go from there.

    * Corsair Obsidian 450D Mid-Tower - Airflow Edition * ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC) * Intel i7-8700K @ 5.0 GHz * 16GB G.SKILL Trident Z 4133MHz * Sabrent Rocket 1TB M.2 SSD * WD Black 500 GB HDD * Seasonic M12 II 750W * Corsair H115i Elite Capellix 280mm * EVGA GTX 760 SC * Win7 Home/Win10 Home *

    It is very likely that the motherboard in its current state does not support the Geforce 900 series. As previously mentioned I would strongly suggest looking into updating the bios on the motherboard as well as contact the computer manufacturer to further confirm if your model does support the newer 900 series.
