Very interesting. Is 3GB of VRAM really that relevant today? Cuz I'm definitely getting a 1060, but 3GB or 6GB...

The price difference is minimal tho so I'll most likely go for 6GB

Minimal price difference? It's 50€ or 50$. And that is definitely not minimal in my opinion.
I would wait for reviews and then see how it performs.
But since the 3Gb version is a cut-down 1060 (shaders etc.) - I would still go for the 6Gb version.

Yeah, guess you're right. Now the real question is... Which version of the 1060 6GB provides the best price/performance ratio. Prolly getting the SC or SSC version but, what is the real difference between these two?

SSC has dual fan cooling and one power phase more, but I dont know if the clock speeds are a mistake or real. The SC and SSC have the exact same clock speeds. Normally the SSC is faster.
It's not called super superclocked for nothing. :D
They could call it just SC at the end.

I would keep to a 6gig version as well. Games are getting demanding, and 2gig doesn't seem to cut it anymore. 3gig would still be plenty for older games, but newer games that are coming out will work better with more then 3gig. so 6gig plus is giving you more headroom.

Then again, 8gig vram, currently is overkill, but 6gig will be fine for some time.

Using the single fan version as a secondary card with my 1080FE, but wondering if the logo lights up.

    Anybody know?

I doubt it, I have dual GTX 960s which are about the same price and they do not have LEDs on them.

What is the 6-Pin to 8-Pin Y-adaptor used for when the card shows it only has one 6-Pin connector?
I asked because where I want to use this card on only provide 6-Pin PCIe Power Cables and Only Two.
I want to install two 1060 3GB cards using One 6-Pin Power Cable Per Card.
P/N: 03G-P4-6160-KR or the P/N: 03G-P4-6162-KR is what I am looking at to use.

I do see that the P/N: 03G-P4-6367-KR has One 8-Pin Power Connector.
