I'll go against the grain and predict they won't release a 980Ti unless they have problems getting the next gen out the door.  I don't think they care what AMD does anymore since AMD isn't a threat to anyone.  Nvidia hugely outspends AMD on R&D and they don't have an x86 business to worry about.

Then what do you think they will do with the bad die from the Titan? Make a 990?

What use is knowledge if there is no understanding?~Stobaeus

I wonder if these cards will hit auto-throttle temps as quickly and easily as Titan X. If so, I'll feel slightly better about our recent EVGA GTX980 purchase. :)

Well, they did say that "the 980ti will have custom-cooling support, unlike the Titan."

Hey

Get that 980 hybrid hydro cooler on your titan x and there you go you'll have a quality custom cooling. I'll post photos of the installation/end product when i get it! It's on the way!

I hope whatever GTX 980 Ti comes won't have issues with DisplayPort like mine. Sorry, just venting... If it's for the right price tag <= $700, I'm down.

I just hope the 980ti can accept the 980 hybrid cooler they put out. I ended up getting a pair of them and really liked the results.
