I have 2 GTX 660 that work fine when run on their own, but when I try to run SLI the game I try to play play a game will most likely end up in the computer restarting or sometimes just freezing the game.  The bridge seems to be working because my computer is recognizing it. I re-installed the drivers but that didn't help. My next guess is the power supply, I am using a NEX 750G. Is this enough and if so are there any suggestions on what else could be wrong?

Uninstall ASUS AI Suite, GeForce Experience, MSI Afterburner, Precision X if you have them installed, make sure to select "no" to saving profiles when removing afterburner/precision. Reboot PC. Install driver 337.50. Test. Report back with results.

That did not appear to help.

I would suggest you test the cards in SLI in another system to see if you can replicate the problem before replacing the PSU.

Unfortunately I don't have access to another system that can run SLI. Something I have noticed is that if I let the computer sit for a while after turning it on it seems to run better. If it isn't obvious already I am not very well versed in computers, but could this be an indicator of something or just a coincidence?

Placebo effect most likely. You could take both video cards to your local computer repair shop and have them test the cards in SLI.

Sounds like a PSU issue..If you have the 750 G1 that has four +12V rails, VGA1 and VGA2 are on the +12V2 rail while VGA3 and VGA4 are on the +12V4 rail..If you have your GTX 660 PEG connectors (6/8-pin supplemental power connectors) plugged into VGA1 and VGA2, try moving one of them to VGA3 or VGA4 which will take some load off of +12V2 rail and redistribute it to the +12V4 rail..The flip side would be you have the PEG connectors on VGA3 and VGA4 and you'd move one of them to VGA1 or VGA2..If it works okay, then you need to RMA your faulty 750 G1 PSU..If it doesn't matter, you still could have a faulty PSU.

If you have the 750 G2 with a single +12V rail or if redistributing the load on the G1 don't matter, you could hotwire (see Step 4) another PSU (if you have one or can borrow one) and use it only to power the PEG connectors of one GTX 660 while your installed PSU runs the other GTX 660 and the rest of your system..If it works okay, you need to RMA your faulty PSU..If you cannot (or don't want to) do this, then the only alternatives would be to swap out your PSU with a known good one of sufficient power or take your system to a repair shop for SLI and PSU load testing.

You could also try reducing your GPU core clocks as far as possible using EVGA Precision or MSI Afterburner to see if reducing the load that way helps any.

If you need a good idea of your overall system wattage requirement, use this PSU calculator

    * Corsair Obsidian 450D Mid-Tower - Airflow Edition * ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC) * Intel i7-8700K @ 5.0 GHz * 16GB G.SKILL Trident Z 4133MHz * Sabrent Rocket 1TB M.2 SSD * WD Black 500 GB HDD * Seasonic M12 II 750W * Corsair H115i Elite Capellix 280mm * EVGA GTX 760 SC * Win7 Home/Win10 Home *

Reducing the core clock has helped for the moment. I dont know if this is a permanent solution or just a coincidence.

Reducing the clocks point to a faulty GPU. I would suggest testing the cards in SLI in another system running the cards at default clocks to confirm.

Could it also suggest that the power supply isn't enough?

It's possible, that is why you need to test the cards in another system.

I had a similar issue with my GTX 660's when I got them. I was so frustrated within my first 30 days, I sent them back... but I did find out the cause before I did. Mine was a bad video card, it would work fine till it was under heavy load.

I'd suggest running an up to date benchmark that will fully tax the video card and test each card separately to figure out which one is faulty by it self... That's how I found mine, one worked perfect while the other displayed weird colors and designs similar to a tie dye shirt. I just sent the card back to newegg and had them send me a new one. After that, my screen would go black randomly from the current drivers at the time... so I returned both of them and got something different. lol

I took the computer in to a local shop and they could find no issues.  Both gpus look fine and I tried a new SLI bridge but nothing changed.

I just sent in my two GTX 660s for this exact issue... And just got word that they are sending back another 660.  Im concerned I will just continue to have issues with the 600 series cards.
These cards don't seem to want to run in SLI, and will black screen at stock settings under heavy load. Sometimes it takes 10minutes sometimes longer but they crash and only a hard system reset would bring me back. I am unsure what exactly brought this on, however it has made playing games very difficult. In the events leading up to the crashing I noticed extreme FPS drops with the performance permanantly decreased for the remainder of the session. See -
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7B0O9A3EwQ&feature=youtu.be
In that configuration the game should have been way above 144 fps the whole time. As these cards are more than ample for that game at max settings. Even setting the quality levels down during those FPS drops would not make FPS increase leading me to believe the issue was hardware related.

I noticed that when those performance drops occurred in Afterburner OSD the GPUS OV Limit would hit 1 (out of a range 0-1) and then the performance would dip or, the gpus would crash.
