I have just got myself a nice new gtx 1080 ftw edition card but i'm getting low benchmark scores compared to other ftw owners I've seen.
Card runs fine, runs at around 1949mhz when under load (stock clocks). Runs nice and cool 76c max.
I decided to do some benchmarks when I noticed fallout 4 lagging at 1080p max settings. It drops down to 40-50 fps at times where as
my previous card (r9 290x) would perform much better. I have noticed much lower FPS in other games than others with the same card
I have tried k boost on precision x, put on maximum performance in nvidia
control panel, but that hasn't helped.
Have i just got a crappy card or could there be something wrong with my pc?
My specs are
i7 4770k (stock)
16gb Vengeance pro 1600mhz
2*250gb evo ssd raid 0
AX 860 Power Supply
GTX 1080 FTW

I have attached my 3dmark scores.
If anyone could give me any help that would be awesome

cheers

The results of 3d mark look good to me.  My classified is only a bit higher than that.

Use step 2 of this guide to boot in to safe mode and use DDU to clean BOTH AMD and Nvidia drivers (probably need to restart in between safe mode uninstalls). Then download and install the latest Nvidia drivers directly from Nvidia and CUSTOM install them with just the Driver and PhysX:
    Troubleshooting Steps: http://forums.evga.com/Ba...mode-etc-m2504606.aspx

    DDU: http://www.wagnardmobile....d22526765fc1a1b60d6283

Also, if you use/installed Geforce Experience, use step 5 of that same guide. You'll likely need to Google where the .ini configuration file is for the games that you're having problems with.

Fair enough. The timespy is pretty bad tho, lower than some 1070's I've seen.
Those benchmarks don't worry me as much as lacking fps in games.
BF1 is getting 70-110 FPS which is around GTX 970/980 range.
Could the card be faulty? Like i said it's on par/slightly better than my 290x in some games.

Thanks for the reply. I will have a go at that and see how it goes.
Could it be a problem where AMD drivers are still lingering in the system?

Yes they could be, and if you installed/used Geforce Experience your game settings could be completely jacked up and remain jacked up until you follow step 5.

Graphic scores look normal. Final score can be affected by which cpu you're running. Make sure windows power options are set to high performance.

Haha! My MSI gaming 1080 non overclocked Edition is doing much better than that. I used to have an EVGA FTW Edition and had to return it due to the infamous black screen issue. So how much better than that? I got 18182 in my firestrike score. And I ran just the basic firestrike and I have a 4930k hexa core CPU and I'm not running the power settings in performance mode.

Guy's he's running his i7 4770 at stock speed. That's 3.5 ghz base/3.9ghz boost. He's also running his FTW at stock speeds. It's quite possible those speeds are simply what one should expect with that cpu and card. Most people scoring higher than that are also OCing their cpu and video card, so of course those numbers look a little low.
