Looks like a good solution that should also work on future cards if EVGA needed it. With the size of cards not looking fo get smaller it’s likely will be needed next generation as well.

I'm lucky in that my case already comes with an adjustable support bar that is connected to the chassis that can be swiveled into place in a way that won't interfere with fan operation or air flow. But I can see how this would be a neat option to have.

Is it cheap? yes. Is it effective? Looks to be. Is it good looking? yeaaa no PC builders go through great lengths these days to hide their cables from sight so idk about this one. But hey if it's between having a dangling cable inside my case or having my $2k+ GPU sag it's self to death, I think i'll take the freebie support cable

imo, this is a bad design, gravity is still a thing, and the heaviest part of the GPU is the heatsink. gravity is still going to pull on that HS, and the HS will pull on the connecting screws, which are points around the card... I rather have a support stand holding up the whole card, which makes more sense...

The attempt is to take pressure off of the PCIe slot. It isn't intended to somehow take the weight of the heat sink off the GPU die. That would be silly.
