Mine: Only on air...but I'm seeing everyone else's overclocks being a bit lower than mine and now I'm starting to panic I pushed it too far. GTX 1080 FTW ACX 3.0.

Ok, won't let me post a URL. Screenshot it is.

With my 50" 4K I could read the address in his image.

Anyhow the low score is caused by your (Kyle) i7 950 which looks like you're running at stock clocks.

Graphics Score  7926

CPU Score  2547

GPU is okay, CPU... is erm...low your i7 950 is why.

Here's what I mean, I scored higher (total) just due to my CPU. But your GPU is clearly performing better than mine. It would be even somewhat higher with a better CPU.

6341 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti(1x) and Intel Core i7-6850K

Graphics Score 6218
CPU Score  7147

That's what I meant when I said about backing off my OC. I was able to get mine up to 2190 MHz but no one else's seems to be quite that high. So I'm worried that I may have tried pushing it too far and need to back it off a bit.

Increased my score a little bit more.  As far as the cards go, this was a hail mary run.  The CPU still has juice left in it.

How long does it usually take 3DMark to get updated to recognize new graphics cards?  I use the Steam version, and while it did do some kind of tiny update today, the SystemInfo version is still the same and my card is still unrecognized.  It "knows" it's a GTX 1080, however.

Or maybe it's because mine is a SC2, not a FTW2, and they didn't think there were people who would get this one instead of a FTW2? :D

I told evga that users are looking to have 3dmark time spy added to the mods rig page. Hopefully it will be added soon.

Yes, that bench is my 24/7 setup - I have a complete custom liquid loop on mine, processor never goes above 50-60C depending on ambient temp, unless I am doing AVX loads and it will hit 70-80C.

Not really any scary voltages in my setup..

I need a 6950X!

Need to cool the GPUs down more and get a little more graphics score.  The 6950X isn't gonna help that.

And yeah....I don't see anything wrong with running 1.38v for a daily clock with the right cooling.  I run my 6950X at 1.445v on adaptive with the thermal control tool for my daily, and it never goes above 65c.  I'm using an AVX offset though, to drop core clocks by x2 multi.  Works great.

GPUs are pretty much at their max, 2214+ wont even run on them, even if I leave windows open in winter to drop core temp on them, they just dont like it. Silicon lottery wasnt so great with them

I am feeling pretty good about my 1.27 V then, maybe I can squeeze 4.4 out of my CPU after all.  The highest I can get my cards to go to 2078, and at that speed, it's a toss up between a completed 3d mark and a blue screen.  So my daily config for them is +400 on the memory and +75 on the core.

You guys are pretty lucky with what you're getting, but mine are just air cooled.  Do your cards throttle at all during the benchmark?

Nope, no throttling.  My best runs on Timespy come with either 2240 or 2252 on the core, depending on what the coolant temps are.

What does your curve look like for those cards running that core frequency? I have mine at 1.093V/2189MHz core

My cards also do not throttle, they barely hit 50C in most situations.

I don't think I have a picture of that specific curve anywhere, but my temps are a LOT lower than that.  50c is too high.

Here's a curve that's going to look very similar....the tighter it is, the better then run, it seems.  A really aggressive curve will get you higher clocks, but many times, that doesn't usually equate to higher frames.

Something like this:

As opposed to this:

I don't think I have a picture of that specific curve anywhere, but my temps are a LOT lower than that.  50c is too high.

Here's a curve that's going to look very similar....the tighter it is, the better then run, it seems.  A really aggressive curve will get you higher clocks, but many times, that doesn't usually equate to higher frames.

50C isn't too high, not when you consider the case temp is 30C and my ambient temp is 21-22C (winter time here so heat is on) - You would basically have to be running air conditioning to keep the GPUs below 50C consistently, at med-high usage, over an extended period of load... they dont throttle at 50C either, stays right at 2189MHz. I run 3440x1440 so the cards tend to get a little warmer than some setups with everything maxed out. Furmark will take it to 50C real quick, but Furmark isnt even remotely close to a normal GPU load. These cards cant hit 2200+ I tried for a few days to dial them in for that, memory clock will go all the way to 5800MHz though.

Timespy is a little heavy for my poor 1070 Hybrid.

It doesn't matter if they're throttling.....it matters how well they're running at those temps.  At 50c, you may be able to run 2200, but it's it probably won't run very well.  Drop the core temps down to 30c or lower, and all the sudden 2200 is running a LOT better, and even well enough you may be able to lower the voltages a little bit.

It's not about throttling....they run better, the cooler they are.  To run higher clocks, and do it WELL, 50c is too warm.  Period.
