Anyone care to take a guess on what this is regarding? I'm hopeful it's the 1080 Ti, since it's the same day as AMD's "Capsaicin and Cream" event, but who knows at this point.

Sajin want to ship one TITAN to me.
That would be very nice move. Ahahaa ahahahaa...
Only is bad because it's not EVGA overclocked TITAN.... Only NVIDIA.

It is difficult to say what NVIDIA will do but a release of video card with performance between the GTX 1080 and Titan would probably be good.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

So far NVIDIA has not confirmed if any part of Gaming GTX event will be live streamed. Unless that changes, it’s unlikely there will be any public product launches in a caliber of high-end graphics card.

What doesn't make sense is why would Nvidia wait 9 months after Pascal release to release the TI?  Granted...but it will have a relatively short life cycle before the next big release.

Same reason they did that with Maxwell. They can.

    Titan released February 2013
    780 released May 2013
    780ti released November 2013
    Titan Black released February 2014

    970/980 release September 2014
    Titan X released March 2015
    980ti release June 2015.

    1080 released May 2016
    1070 released June 2016
    Titan X (P) released August 2016

That puts them right on schedule if they decide to drop a new card.

Maybe the announcement is Nvidia finally decided to do the right thing. No more data mining customers and no more login requirement to use GFE.

Or maybe they announce that from now on you need to be a member of Geforce elite club based on monthly subscription to get latest video drivers

    pudding is in the proof

GeForce GTX 1080 Ti in production, launch March 20-23
    https://www.nordichardware.se/nyheter/gpu-tillverkare-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-ar-nu-tillverkning.html
    http://wccftech.com/nvidi...80-ti-launching-march/

Paper launch maybe for GDC to match Vega release
oh they have product already but official launch will wait a few extra weeks to stock up product

nvidia have used this event before to release a TI version
"while in 2015 the company used the event as the backdrop for the SHIELD TV unveiling (with a surprise GTX 980 Ti announcement the next morning)."

GTX 1080 Ti launched in late March

These days NordicHardware reached by information from Taiwanese graphics card makers confirming that a launch of GTX 1080 Ti is only a month away. Graphics Card Manufacturers should already launched production of its new graphics card which internally demonstrated its new models. An exact launch date is said to not be completely nailed, but at this writing, it points toward a launch in the last week of March, probably between 20-23 March.
Some more details on the graphics card specifications could not be confirmed. It is said to be simultaneously developed partner cards that are now beginning to be manufactured, which means we may see third-party manufacturers Ti 1080 cards at launch or shortly thereafter.

I stand corrected!  Never realized that the TI was always so late in a generation lifespan.

Doesn't get more logical than this. Nvidia is enjoying a one man race with the Titan XP as well as the 1080 in their respective price brackets. A good strategy here is to synchronize the release of the Ti with a rivals competing product. Vega has been gathering steam with an imminent launch date and what better way for Nvidia to greet AMD's new flagship at port than with some of their own cannon fire?

Halo Wars 2’s official requirements leak NVIDIA’s unannounced GPU, the GeForce GTX1080Ti

By this time, we all pretty much know that NVIDIA will shortly release the GeForce GTX1080Ti. And while the green team has not officially announced anything yet, a lot of people believe that it will reveal (and perhaps release) this GPU during a GeForce event at this year’s GDC 2017. And…. well… we now know for a fact that the GeForce GTX1080Ti is real, as the official packshot of Halo Wars 2’s retail version has revealed/leaked this brand new unannounced graphics card.

I like how they list it alongside the Fury X which does not meat the VRAM requirement of 8GB. One would think that if they want unreleased cards, they would put the Fury where the RX 480 is and list an upcoming RX 500 card with Vega.
