In this particular case, Windows 10 automatically installed itself on a custom-built machine owned by an Alzheimer’s patient. Because of this, the patient’s grandson Jesse Worley, a tech consultant, was forced to spend 10 hours formatting the hard drive, re-installing Windows 7, and setting the desktop up to resemble Windows XP so his grandfather could use the computer again. I had to do a restore on mine and come here to find the updates to remove ! I was not a Happy Camper ! I had to do that method 2 times. I think they should have to reimburse all that would want their time and trouble compensated for ! Beside if I want Windows 10 I want a Disc or @ least a ISO file so if have a crash I can fix the problem. While we are on the subject of Slamming Microsoft. Why cant they have a way of Verifiying files like Steam ? If I think my files are corrupt in steam all I have to do is go to their site and Verify my files simple as that. Microsoft Claims they are looking out for our Future so why not get into the Future Microsoft ?

You can use the Windows Media Creation Tool to make an installer or ISO: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10/ Command prompt, sfc /scannow, will verify your Windows system files, been there since XP.

True, however I don't mind one or the other. I will probably just purchase the USB stick of Win 10 Pro for Christmas. A gift to myself. =)

-8 = 399,999,990 I have W10 installed on 8 devices myself. I don't want any money from MS. They gave me a free upgrade. That saved me money.

You need to run command prompt as admin (or turn off UAC). Click start, type cmd, right click on Command Prompt and choose Run as Administrator.

Wait what? They have Windows branded USB sticks now? You know you can make your own Win10 usb installer with any usb drive using the media creation tool right?

MS should also compensate everyone who had to spend so much time trying to avoid that W10 poop from installing itself.
