Methodical2 Cool gtx, I hear what you saying about wanting to get the rigtht MB out the gate. I agree with the poster that said to go with a company with customer service. In my mind, EVGA would be at the top of that list, however, I like the MSI and bit more than the Classified. Asus MB I like has issues that scares me and based on reviews their customer service is not the best, so I am staing away from them this go round. I've decided to throw my money to the MSI X99S Xpower AC MB as it has the feature sets I like and want. I am just waiting to see if the price will drop a bit soon.
Don't buy MSI X99S XPOWER AC because USB 3.0 only X99A XPOWER AC have Internal USB 3.1. If you want know to invest in X99 no reason to look boards without USB 3.1
I meant to say that I am looking at the X99A MB and not the X99S. Thanks for the correction.

I love my x99 Classy. I had to buy the easy to bend connector also so I didn't have to cut into my Primo Enthoo case!

ty for creating this post. I threw in the towel with my ASUS Maximus VII Formula & 4790K. Both of them gave me issues. After the 3rd processor that overheated to 100C with stock cooler after 5min of Intel Stress test, Intel offered to give me my money back. Thank you Intel, they did the right thing. Dealing with ASUS support is a different story. I would never again email them. Only talk to them. I had bad USB ports, so I emailed support. ASUS says to update my driver/bios..ok so I update USB ports still bad, ASUS issues RMA, I mail it to them ASUS reinstalls the BIOS and mail it back, USB ports still bad I mail it back to ASUS, ASUS reinstalls BIOS again, USB ports still bad I call ASUS, they finally agree to exchange the motherboard. such a headache My goal is to get a X99 board that has good support, like EVGA. I also want to get a chip that is soldered to the lid, so I don't have thermal issues. Going for the 5930K as soon as microcenter has it in stock. I am currently looking at these two. Slightly used Classified, hopefully it has some kind of warranty. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MY3SQ84?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=A142PEJIGN8AR5or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130841MSI X99 SLI, its all black!! :), has USB 3.1, but it is MSI. I would not even consider this, but at $200 new vs $400 new Classy, I will take my chances with MSI. However, if the used one will work and I get the same support, I can spend the $300 and get the support if I need it. I also looked at the FTW, but no M.2!!! wow

Definitely test it first out of the case on air...makes it easier to replace any parts that have problems (not just the motherboard)
