Hello,

I went out and bought a Z97 Classified from Fry's. Plugged everything in and failed to post. I checked everything and nothing is out of the ordinary. I have a X650 Seasonic so I thought this was the problem until I plugged it in on another motherboard and it worked just fine.

Is there a problem between the Classified and Seasonic? I can still return the Seasonic PSU if that's the case. Will a SS660 also have the same problem? or a Corsair AX?

If you buy a Corsair AX860 for example that should work.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

Seasonic and EVGA motherboard do not like each other. No idea why though.

    That really sucks.

I went and bought a 750 G2, but EVGA left a sour taste after spending $200+ on a mobo and now on a new PSU.
The AX860 looks nice even though it is much more than what I need.
I also sent an email to Seasonic and they responded saying that it would be the PSU. Smh.
    Thanks!

Seasonic, so far, is the only one that I have owned that absolutely would not work with EVGA motherboards. They do make some. Great power supplies, just not compatible with EVGA for some odd reason.

    Found this:

It may be due to the CPU connector being the same as the PCIe..

Ah, you can't post links yet. Break up the link or put [.] around the period. I am curious to see what you have.

Yea but if Seasonic platform not work with EVGA motherboard what will happen than with EVGA Silent Series produced by Seasonic. I heard Seasonic PSU and ASUS motherboards are more prone to coil whine than Seasonic/MSI example.
And CORSAIR AX860 Platinum is made by Seasonic too. Look typical Seasonic

I ordered a AX760i from Amazon.com next day shipping. Hopefully, this works since it is made by a different OEM.

    Update:

So the AX760i worked fine but I went through 2 units due to fan issues with both. I also tried a Seasonic SS760 and it failed. I am thinking I should try the regular AX760. I really like those PSUs.
