No image so obviously 16GB won't work... Ha ha....

I don't believe anyone is going to run into an issue unless they fill the entire frame buffer then you might see some swapping to system ram just as you do with GPU's now. Nothing has changed in either the OS or drivers to change this.  In fact, the 'unified memory' architecture that was being touted for Maxwell isn't implemented in the consumer version as far as I know. However, Win 10 and DX 12 may change some aspects of this.

Well let me know if anyone wants me to run any more tests while I have 16 GB before I put it back to 32. Also as a note the test used the same 6.5-7GB of VRAM as before.

Could you try EVGA OC Scanner with 8GB/16GB/32GB installed. How much memory can it consume and what are the avg FPS?

Most testbeds for reviews of the Titan X use 16GB.

This I've done just not at 8GB, at 16 and 32 it does ~55 fps @ 1080 preset, and uses ~6 GB Vram, same for both.

I am interested in if there is a correlation between how much RAM you have and how many pixels you push. Not just 1080P and different amount of RAM.

what about "vRamBandWidthTest" using 32 10240?

Extract it, Open a admin command prompt. Point it to the directory that you extracted everything to.

and just use vRamBandwidthTest.exe 32 10240

it didn't output it to a result file but here's the averages.
theoretical says 336.48 GB/s
this is with 16 GB ram installed if that would make any difference

DRAM results averaged 288 GByte/s
L2 Cache averaged 733 GByte/s

But it accessed all over it? and was there any bad drops towards the end signaling RAM swapping?

it was consistent throughout the test on both averages, no drops more than half a GB/s, I just tried it again.

I stated that I did it with 16 GB, I'm done testing now. I'm satisfied that 16 GB is not hindering the card in anything I've seen.

A 'bad drop' at the end doesn't signal ram swapping. There was pages on this not being a valid test for what people were thinking they were using it for.

This is purely a pagefile issue. Although the claim doesn't seem to make any sense. So if you disable your pagefile then you have a 0GB Titan X? lmao

Well, you're in the GTX 900 section. But it's probably something to do with being a dual GPU card and single GPU memory performance is 192GB/sec...on dual GPU cards spec wise,  they add the memory bandwidth together just as they do the memory amount even though in SLI memory is not additive. So, I'm not sure how the memory benchmark deals with that.

Hey there, I think he meant the EVGA site itself.

Here: http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=12G-P4-2992-KR

Click on the details tab and see the requirements.

EVGA were originally just parroting Nvidia's specs, but even EVGAtechs knew there wouldn't be problems (currently) with <24GB. Good to see though.

Then why the hell is NVidia getting calls and complaints from people who're running into problems with limited VRAM when running with less than required RAM?
Also how has this been tested for there to be a confirmation that 24+RAM is not a requirement? They said that the problems don't start occurring instantaneously, but over a prolonged period of time.
Still no clear answer, and still more confusion.

EVGA_JacobF could probably give you a more technical answer, but you've been following this thread long enough to know most of us are not having any issues running this thing under 24GB system RAM. Who knows what these other people are doing or how their set-ups are running (not running). If future events change this (i.e games/drivers/new OS) then I guess we'll be back to this topic, but in the mean time if you have the card and are humming along just fine I wouldn't worry about it so much. Many here will probably sell this card in less than a year anyway for Pascal.

Just a quick update as Nvidia has updated the system requirements for this product.

Required = 8GB
Recommended = 16GB

 There you have it, check Nvidia's site unless they haven't updated it yet.
