Alright, so with my new build I'm going to be doing a lot of customizing. I want it to reflect as much passion and artistic relevance, as it does shear power. So I'll be doing SOME painting. I found a very helpful guide on youtube that breaks down how to paint a graphics card with that lovely silver blower-type cooler like we see on 980s, titans, etc. (he did his in RED) Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCclKJQGPKs&list=UUhIZGfcnjHI0DG4nweWEduw
Its GORGEOUS. I made up a render in Gimp of what I'm hoping to make mine look like, and my question to EVGA is- If I remove the cooler and paint it, will it void my warranty? Here's what I cooked up.

Warranty won't be void, you would incur a service charge for the heatsink.

You could also buy a spare heatsink to replace it if a warranty service is needed

Thats good to know, thanks for the support and help guys. I'm excited to move forward with this project. Might be a couple of months before it all comes together, but I'll have a full build log on it for sure.

Interesting, any figures on that? Gomez99 You could also buy a spare heatsink to replace it if a warranty service is needed
Getting your hands on one might be problematic and relatively costly. There's one or two curently on fleabay for about $100. Something EVGA could do is take the working coolers from defective units and non-reparable and put them up in the store as B-Stock.

that won't happen cause RMA needs them, they get alot more RMA's then they do customers wanting to buy extra coolers just to have on hand.

Sajin is correct. If you needed to RMA the card, there would be a service charge to replace the cooler with an unmodified stock cooler.

just another though you could even paint the bracket blue or black if ya wanted to :) if ya want to get rid of that silver look on it.

Yeah actually, I'm planning on painting the bracket black :) I re-edited the image, and it got me all excited again. Plus, I want to use car-window-tinting film to darken the vapor chamber window, but still allow me to see through it and keep that premium look.
