Sounds like a bad sli bridge maybe? Is the control panel seeing the 2 cards just not offering the sli ootiin?

Both cards must be running at least x8 for the SLI option to be shown inside the NVCP. If one card is running in x4 mode the SLI option will not appear inside the NVCP.

Make sure that you have the cards in slots 1 and 2. It looks like slot 3 may be a 4x slot and won't support SLI. Also, if you have another PCIe card like a sound card or some kind of expansion card in that third PCIe slot, it will force the PCIe slots to an 8x/4x/4x configuration, knocking out the ability to run SLI.

If the cards are having trouble in slots 1 and 2, try testing the new card on it's own in slot 1 to make sure it's working properly, and if so try testing either card on it's own in slot 2 to confirm the PCIe slot is working. Most likely it's going to be a faulty card or faulty PCIe slot, and this will tell us which one it is.

With all three PCI-E slots populated your config will run at x8/x4/x4, this is what is causing the SLI option to not appear, by removing the sound card it will change slots 1 & 2 to x8/x8 and you will then be able to enable SLI.

Your motherboard states: x16 (with one device) x8/x8 (with two devices) or x8/x4/x4 (three devices.)

I had a sneaking suspicion you may have had a third PCIe card. Let us know how it goes without the sound card in, but that ought to fix you right up.

Yes. Why? PSU aging. 1000W would be a good choice.
