I've got aftermarket HIDs on my truck that is also factory lifted to the point where when I get in and out of the vehicle it's basically standing height.  No getting up or slouching down.  I've no idea if the owner who installed them had them aligned, but they throw a lot of light quite a long distance and I assume can be quite blinding; but you know what, if you can't handle your mirrors glaring at you, move on over to one of the other lanes that I happen to not occupy.  I was thinking about installing some LED bars for added lulz, I mean safety, but after my last 8 hour road trip through the darkness, I feel comfortable with taking my ride down rural roads with nothing but starlight, or across the deserts of wherever it is there are deserts that I may or may not drive across...A rear facing LED bar would be quite interesting though...you know, for gear checking bed inspection...

It's not the people going the same direction as you that get blinded by your HID setup, it's the oncoming traffic.

Happy to say, I just ordered an SCT tuner with BAMA custom tunes from American Muscle along with a cold air intake to accompany my 4.10 gears! :)!

So much hate and jealousy, lol. I love BMW (was my fav brand) but haven't liked what they've come up with the last couple years. I do like anything pre E9x tho.

RushXTC, your car looks great. Enjoy it =3. Ignore the jealous people.

Rush,

Good luck with the new car.  I do have some advice (from an old fart) at 53.
Be careful of riding around with the stereo cranked up (or even just loud)
I now have two hearing aids that I have to wear.  My hearing loss is directly related to my driving around in my 1991 (in 1991) Mitsubishi 3000 VR4 GT with the stereo cranked up for hours on end.  I have needed hearing aids since 2000 or so and now finally have broken down and bought a pair. I will have to use them for the rest of my life with my hearing getting progressively worse as time goes by.

In hindsight, it was not worth it.

Turn down the volume.

Man that sucks brotha. I usually dont run with high speakers bumping everywhere because my car is TOOO LOUD. So what about cars like mine that have load exhaust notes in the car? I cant turn it down so I guess I will be needing some hearing aides when I am older LOL. I have to have my sports cars Fast N Loud.

If your smart you make em quiet under 3k rpm which is your regular driving, and make em scream over 4-5k rpm so you can enjoy the loudness when you want it. Honestly, corvette's sports active exhaust, plus exhausts with electronic cut outs are the best of all worlds.

I seriously LOL at the people here hatin on your new car and your HIDs, and when I posted up a picture of my 2 12s as well. Enjoy the hell outta your new car, shine those HIDs and most importantly... DROP DA BASS!!!!!!! Some good **** there. I plan on dropping a new high output alternator into my ride and soon I will have multi-thousand watt amps running and a couple of 15s! That's just a dream though, I shall get that someday!

Hey rush nice ride, a nice turbo or supercharger kit will do wonders, I would skip the 4:10 gears and do a 3:73 or 3:90 instead, add the boost and you the best of both worlds, gobs of torque and good gas mileage.

A supercharger and low gears will never give you "good gas mileage".

It's too late, the 4:10 gears were installed last week.

My new Hood Struts + Cold Air Intake + Tuner get here tomorrow!

I haven't driven my car for about a week because of the gears... Waiting for the Tuner to get here, Else I'll probably blow the transmission.

When I procharge the car, I'll still be getting better gas mileage than a GT with the same set up (4.10 gears + supercharger) lol =P

Thanks guys!

And oh my god!! The UPS just honked... I haven't driven my car in a week! I'm so happy !!!

Time to install the Hood struts, Cold Air Intake and then tune the car! (Finally shift points will be fixed and thus making it drive-able with no risk of transmission damage)

Is that a K&N air filter Rush? If not shame on you.

[Edit]: I agree with you on the sound of the cold air intake though, mine sounds awesome on my Camry, I have been asked a few times if I have a turbo in it because it sounds like I have one lol.

No, not really.  It uses a cold air isolation box and has duct that attaches to the factory air intake duct which has a nice steady flow of outside cold air being plumbed in.  At speed with the positive pressure it will create it will keep all the warm air outside the box.

Hey Rush, is that the Air raid Syntha Max dry filter?  Nice looking unit.

Yeah, it seems it might be alright. I wouldn't trust that heat shield to keep out the heat though myself. If it's not in the fender I can't trust it.

It's actually the regular "Premium Filter" it comes with.

P.S. I'm about to go buy a GoPro to start making videos and I'm also going to redo a video I did last night with my cousins Canon Rebel, We were at work during lunch time (My friend and I) and we made this video temporarily just to see how it looked/sounded in a video.

I'm not sure how fast I was going, I was paying attention to the road and the upcoming light.

I'm going to stop for a bit with the upgrades... My next one is the throttle body then the sway bars and everything to help with the suspension... But I'll wait... Let me have some fun with the way it is now =P!

Very nice Rush!!  Sounds great and looks like it has a bit of giddyup.

So what are your impressions from stock to how it is now?  Are you happy with the performance/sound etc?  Big difference with the 4.10's from a stop I'm sure.....and much better gear for passing lol.

Difference between night and day.... Love it the way it is, The only thing that sucks is once you start modding it, So many things line up in your head as to what you want to do D=

And oh boy am I happy.... The only reason I no longer have this huge grin is because I'm super tired right now, Nightshift is killer =/

But oh well! Gotta make that money if we want to keep modding the car! =P!!

So I raced a new Camaro SS and he sort of laughed at me when I asked him to race. (He heard my ricey V6 exhaust), Nonetheless he wasn't smiling when my V6 kept up with his SS. He had a Manual, So each time he shifted he'd go about half a cars length in front of me, But I'd catch up, Rinsed and repeated for 3 blocks. When we stopped, He asked me what I had in it. I guess he thought everything was stock except the exhaust =P!!

I just bought a 73MM BBK Throttle Body, I also ordered a new tune to include the throttle body, Hopefully they get here by Friday. I'm very excited.

oh nice, too bad the Kia didn't work out. Lousy dealerships. But man soooooo close, if you just waited a bit longer the 2015 Mustang would have been a much better grab. But still, nice colors on the mustang.

Enjoy the car man !  its sweet.
I am no stranger to people talkin about my car choices. I just bought a 2013 jetta turbo diesel new, and everyone was like, why would you buy that. My family is 6 hours away so i do a lot of highway driving. Well i drove home when i had about 4k miles on the engine (diesels don't break in til around 60k miles) and i averaged on the highway around 55 mpg. All of the sudden, all those people that made fun of me shut up pretty quick. It also drives like a dream, lots of torque and i love it.

Buy what you want, that's my philosophy !

Asus Strix Z790 F - Intel 13700 K - Gigabyte 4090 Windforce - 32gb DDR 5 - 1TB Samsung SSD 850 evo - Windows 10 Pro - 1TB Samsung M.2 860 - Inland 2 TB NVMe - Acer Predator X27

Bro! I raced a newish Kia SXL Turbo on the highway (I mean, The track... The track guys!) last night... That thing was sick modded! We were doing 130MPH and I couldn't pass the dude! I know it wasn't stock, Because although it was fast, It wasn't THAT fast (From my personal experience) I mean, Although he got a head start, if his car was stock, I would have beat him with a stock V6 Mustang. Which is crazy..
