I apologize, but your posts dont tell anything that is actually going on. You seem to be upset, but havent given a reason other than your name being changed. Nvidia wouldnt send a new rig because of a name change, so something is missing.

The first post i can find simply says something about evga lying, you took a screen shot, best buy had a shipment.. but none of it ties together in your post.

Before i even heard of evga i contacted nvidia. They made me run ddu or ddr some crap that disabled my rights to safemode. Then thry asked me to call evga. Evga said some crap about no receipt no service. Then i called nvidia and now they are sending me a new pc... all i will need to do is get a local tech guy to remove my old harddrives and install them in the new ones.

Mods please delete my account i would like no part of this community. I will also smash my old video card and mail it back to yall

Ddu doesnt disable anything. It removes drivers.

Evga doesnt need a receipt for guest rma.

Something isnt adding up.

I did. Again, you havent provided any information. You have only accused evga of lying without explaining what happened.

Your user name being changed was because it was against the terms of service as it was not only rude, but degrading. You agree to them, and you will abide by them, just like I removed the vulgar language out of one of your posts. Just because you are upset does not give you a right to break the rules.

All you have done is said you are going to post a video. Nvidia does not give out free computers because someone complains, or the world would be full of free, brand new computers. Try providing information.

What happened. Dont post "evga called me a liar", we already read that in every other post. Why did you need assistance. What happened, and what hardware. When was the hardware purchased. I can see you mention april, and best buy, but nothing else that actually matters to what you said. Take a second, type out your message, give an account of what occured to your hardware and why you need assistance. Noone on evga forums, that works for evga, or that works for nvidia can read minds.

People here are incredibly helpful to those that are not rude. You havent given anyone on the forums a reason to help so far.

You havent given anyone any information. I've requested it three times to try to asist you. If you gave evga the same information, they wouldnt be able to help you either.

What are you having an issue with? It seems you bought something from best buy in april, but you refuse to say what. Answer the question.

You may have called evga, but you posted on the forums, which are user based to assist users.

Re: EVGA just lost a customer 2017/02/24 21:37:24 (permalink)
Yes i bought something from bestbuy on may 2015 a evga 660 ti.

So 2 days ago my business computer for taxes (its tax season) and video edditing for a few gaming youtubers. Which contained that card caused issues after the nvidea update. My screen at login screen went black. I got into safe mode unistalled thr driver and it booted fine.

So i called nvidea to report this issue we went thru troubleshoot they emailed me a few links to downlaod stuff and run some stufff. Which i did, the call center was overseas some how one of the things i downloaded disabled my safemode. And my pc became useless and i lost all my customer data. They had me open my pc get thenserial number and said call evga.

I called evga i spoke to thomas, thomas asked for serial number i provided and said this is something that was shipped to bestbuy in april 12 2012, and its been 3 years and evga is no longer reliable since i dont have my receipt. Thomas asked me to go to best buy to get a recipt with the serial number. I then asked him how can bestbuy have this info. He claimed he worked for best buy and they have it. I then just asked him what if they dont and the reply was then we cant help. So i request for a supervisor.

Then comes dave or david, he said no recipt no support. Then he said when did you buy it. I said the timeframe he said its not possible i asked him how come he informed me it was because its a old card and best buy wont sell such old carda. Then said let me check with thomas if he has the serial number so he can pull it up. I stopped him telling him i can provide him the serial number he can check he said yes it was april of 2012 they shipped it to bestbuy. (NOTE THAT I HAD TOLD HIM THAT) So i asked what date of the month then he went on to say i am holding on to some i fo because i might be Lieing. This just took a whole another turn then as i was being accused of something. So i said thomas said bestbuy has the records by serial number so you should know or i can know if i go and request a recipet he said best buy doesnt track there serial number lol. At this point i am gettimg screwed any my poopy attitude came out and here is where i signed up and raged.

Ao today i went thru a footage on a vlog of one of the gamers i work with and had me buy a better gfx card and we then went to best buy and where denied to aquire a recipet if it was paid cash. The manager was kind enough to mention they had sold a few 660 ti with the same upc untill sept 2015.

I provided nivdea with the clips of bestbuy and the vlog and then they said they and send me a new pc all i will need to do is have a tech guy swap or transfer my data from my harddrive to save all my data.

The fact i am mad about is that i was accused of something by evga without any facts.. i belivers users or customers need to be educated of what kind of company they are buying products from.

OK, evgauser87214

I just read your Post #84 - maybe this will help some

I would like to say that there seems to be a miscommunication / understanding of the EVGA Warranty Terms

If your graphics card was not registered with EVGA when purchased, including the upload of your receipt - Then the "transferable warranty" is used.

Your unregistered graphics card has a warranty that Starts - the day it is Shipped from EVGA - Not the day you bought it.

Go to this Guest RMA link, put in your serial number, days of warranty will be the response
evga.com/support/guestregister.asp

Warranty Terms for Graphics Cards are found here:
evga.com/support/warranty/graphics-cards/

US warranty excerpt, below: (select the area of the world that applies to where you live)  underline added for clarity

Standard Warranty (Original Purchasers Only)
The following warranty lengths are provided to the Original Purchaser for EVGA products purchased on or after July 1, 2011 from an EVGA authorized reseller with a valid proof of purchase. For EVGA products not purchased from an EVGA authorized reseller or for owners that do not have a valid proof of purchase than the warranty is available for up to 3 years, which will not exceed the warranty length assigned to the part number, and the warranty will start from the EVGA shipping date. For more details on the EVGA transferable warranty then please see the Transferable Warranty section below.

Transferable Warranty (Secondary Owner)
EVGA offers a transferable warranty for products shipped new from EVGA on or after July 1, 2011 so long as the product is in its original factory condition and retains all of the factory labels and stickers. The transferred warranty will not exceed 3 years from the products shipping date from EVGA and will also not exceed the original warranty offered on the product.

Re: EVGA just lost a customer 2017/02/24 22:37:17 (permalink)
To be honest and straight forward with you, the 660ti was end of life long before you purchased it, and best buy should have removed it from the shelves. I think the 600 series went out in 2013, and was replaced by the 700 and then 900 series. They may have sold it to you, but if you can find a receipt, then you should be able to go through Best Buy for warranty, as best buy sometimes has a different part number for the cards they sell by evga (part numbers often end in KB, instead of evga's standard KR).

It sounds like Best Buy has caused this entire predicament. Yes, you would need a receipt to show they sold you a GPU that was end of life. The 3 year warranty can only be pulled by evga to show when they shipped it to best buy. After that, a receipt is required to show date of purchase.

By any chance can you find your receipt? I know you mentioned trying to get it from best buy, and they said no. By any chance did you have it emailed to you when you purchased the card? Please just check in case you did.

In the future, no matter what brand you purchase, make sure you register the product immediately, and upload the original receipt. All manufacturers will require the receipt as proof of purchase. It will help you in case something happens 2 years after the purchase, and provide you that tiny bit of comfort when it comes time for an RMA.

I am sorry you are having these frustrations, but please know that the 99% of the folks on the forum here are not here just to cause issues, we want to try to help. Most people are very quick to just someone that comes in immediately going on the offensive and saying how they hate a company, even if it is another company and not evga.

The first name change was because the last word broke the terms of service. I understand you were frustrated when you made the name, but that isnt an excuse that we can let go.

The second name change was to remove your real name. I apologize that it happened that way, and you were given a generic name for now, so that your real name wasnt all over the forums.

If you would like to have a choice in your name, please email webmaster@evga.com, let them know what your current name is, and then send 3 names that you would prefer, and please make sure they abide by the terms of service, and they will get you a permanent name.

Lastly, for this post at least, please be a little patient. I completrly understanf your frustration, but know that we arent here to beat you down or insult you. We all need details to be able to assist you, and get you the help you need to get your system back online.

I can chime in on the best buy stock.... they actually are required to remove certain shelf items after a certain amount of time, say as a new version of a item is released, and if it isn't removed and a watchdog catches it on the shelf they are fined for each product up there, I believe its up to 50.00 bux per item. BB actually had there own auction site for the items but have moved it in the last couple months. So they are very diligent about making sure things get removed in a timely fashion.

Thank you for you kind detailed reply.

I didnt and wasnt able to get a recipt as bestbuy cant just pull up any cash recipet nd give them out. But at this point i am jist glad my matter was resolved and in conclusion i learned a lot must register product etc and sometimes shows hoe some companys have bad workers and good. At the end i will just distance my self from the 4 letters EVGA.

In conclusion i was able yo get a new grafix card today a cheap one and my pc is back up..

Wish you guys, your customers and the company nothing but the best.

Cheers

He was already given the opportunity to do that. He refused. He wanted to keep the name Evga gave him, which he is currently using.
