The Skynet POGS standings: July 11, 2014

Free DC: 23 (30,797,284 points, up 897,239 from yesterday) Up one rank.
Formula Boinc: 3 (29,780,375 points for the year, 15 FB points) No rank change.
The Vault: 15 (9,594.84 Vault points) No rank change.

I think I have a handle on when Pogs exports the stats data. So, no more fluctuations in the numbers since I know when to get my numbers after they report the last update for the day.

It wouldn't be any fun if it was to easy, besides it's not the RAC Challenge I'm working on. I'm trying
to keep you from running over me in points

Kudos to Khali for placing those stats
I read them troughly every day, and from what I can see.... we get somwhere.
Seems putting Our cores together is pulling us as a team in the right direction.
We might lose terrain there, but we gain here, from what I can see, we most definitivly gain.
We're half way there in this month's POTM , and I'm very pleased to see how we all pull in the same direction.

Fantastic team spirit
Thank's to all

The Vault: 14 (9,631.68 Vault points) No rank change.

Just 378,549 points until we take second place in Formula Boinc. We should be in second place after the first stats export from Pogs tomorrow. The next step is a whopper, over 56 million points to catch up to [H] for first place.

New message from the POGS admin...

They'll be a pause in the galaxy flow for a few days so I can build the latest BOINC server, apply the latest security patches, etc.

If you haven't already, you may want to set up a backup project to keep your CPU crunching in case of a shortage of POGS work.  To do so, connect to another BOINC project and set the "Resource share" of the non-POGS project to zero.

EDIT: you could also stockpile work units (increase your min/max work buffers in BOINC manager) to get through a few days while the project server is down

Hola Muchacos
Thx for the head's up Planet. They have said they had an Upgrade upfront for some time, but they had to postpone it. Seems theyr'e gonna do it now.
I got a couple of day's bunker, so I Guess I'll just stay put. If I run out and go idle, I'll switch over to something else.

However, last day, my Production has been cut in half, rig's still running. Anyone else seen this too?
Perhaps of the upcoming Upgrade.
Ok, we'll see about that tomorrow.

If everyone is looking for a suggestion on what to run while Pogs is down I have one for you. [H] has taken over the number one spot on Formula Boinc for Mind Modeling from us. But they did not take the time to build up a big buffer of points. We are only 600k or so down from the number one spot. The longer we wait the larger the buffer will get.

You're currently contributing 836.14  GFLOPS I though that I might hit a 1000 but it looks like I maxed out at 836.
Maybe our team can hit 25 for the Team Rank by the end of July too.

I have not seen a drop or lack of projects, is the sever going down this coming weekend?

Is it better to leave hyper-threading on or off for this? Just wondering since I can run my cpu at 4.2ghz w/ ht off.

Ay Tuck!
From my peronal experience, POGS are better With HT ON.
The only WU's that benefit from HT OFF is long WU's, meaning 20hrs plus WU's.
The reason is that the long WU's tend to make the internal CPU memory(L1/ L2 Cache mem) buffer overrun, and then slow down.
The POGS are short 2-3 hrs WU's, and you will not run into such problems.
You will most likely benefit from running HT ON.
@4,2Ghz you will chew POGS

Edit:
One of my rig's, is running at 4,2Ghz. Each POGS is 1:50, average.

Free DC is down and its very unlikely we will gain any more levels on Formula Boinc or the Vault for the next few days. So I am going to give the stats reports a rest until Free DC is back.

Clearly the worried constables, who follow EVGA forums closely, used their connections to get free-dc back up before we could fully mobilize.

Perhaps of the upcoming Upgrade.
Ok, we'll see about that tomorrow.

I am now seeing Production has dropped and for two days in a row.
Also TFLOPS down to 60 from 62 as well.
My are currently contributing 929.42  GFLOPS I may just hit the 1000 Marker.
They are backlogged as well from what I see, I have over 2000 Validation pending.

Seems POGS are credited in Waves, I've seen both dip's and peak's.
In the low end, i have seen half Production numbers and other times, perhaps a 50% peak.
Every time With a stable daily Production.
I think it's their validation that vary.
Atm, I've got 475 tasks up for validation. In the middle of the Pentathlon, I was close to one thousand.
My RAC took hit when my rig's got cut off, now climbing slowly again.
