I think the GK100's will be the fully unlocked ones, but no idea if they will ever come out.

What type of display connections can we hope to see? I know you guys chopped a connection or two for the 580 classified, so I was wondering if any such changes will be made in that regard? (if so I hope you can keep the display port)

Because extra airflow also provides extra voltage!

Voltage is only a problem if you care about your warrenty. I don't intend to use mine as there will be a 685 out by the time I kill my card if I do end up frying it, so I'll take out my soldering iron if we're limited to less than 1.25V on the classified.

Point is with this level of enthusiast hardware, the voltage lock shouldn't be there, period.  Asus made it MUCH easier to unlock with one of their cards (Direct CU) with a couple of simple soldering points.  I really, really hope EVGA comes out swinging and either gives us the same options (simple solder) with the Classified or goes a step further and provides a switch.

BTW:  I don't know a lot of people willing to toss away 700 bucks worth of Video card.  I'm not.

Six hundred. Not seven hundred. The 580 classified was 550, this thing is going to be an absolute beast, I'll give it a guess cost of $575, but I highly doubt it will be more than $600. My GTX 460 SE suits me fine since I don't play modern games (CSS is the heaviest usage my video card generally gets), hardware is all about bragging rights and fun for me ^^

Have you seen the price on regular 4GB versions from other companies? I highly doubt this will be under $600 lol

To give a prime example, the GTX 670 stock is $60 less than a non-overclocked 4GB.

I expect the Classy 680s to be $649.99

I've heard word about them getting more towards the end of the month.  I just said forget it and bought a 670 SC.  If you look at the reviews the 670 is as fast and sometimes faster than a stock 680.

Sometimes in June. Again I think these cards will be OUT OF STOCK at the beginning of their release period... So I would count at July on ur place or if u will be lucky then u will be able to get...

So classified is due sometime next month, right?
I am expecting it would be like $699? -_-;;
And I am pretty sure by then, msi will have gtx 680 4gb lightning extreme. >.<
aww.. gtx 670 ftw 4gb is coming in 2 weeks according to what I read on forum too. would 2x gtx 680 classified 4gb beat 3x gtx 670 ftw 4gb? I guess getting 3x gtx 670 ftw 4gb would cost $100 more but I don't mind paying extra $100 for extra 30% power.

Just buy something and enjoy it. waiting around for a few percentage points of improvement doesnt make much sense to me, unless all you care about is being able to say you have the fastest card. Buy cards that suit your needs, and play some games and have fun. If youre an extreme overclocker that is only interested in benchmark scores, I can understand a bit, but even then, that is a losing game to play unless youre ridiculously wealthy. (if i was, I'd spend money frivolously on video cards too though)

I was going through same stuff last year but then I bought 2x gtx 580 twin frozr 2 1.5gb and never paid attention anything till gtx 680. I suppose I should stop looking at this coz I will be sad every month. I may just enjoy what I have now and upgrade when gk110 come out because reference gk110 will beat classified ultra no problem. :(
