2 x GTX 690 or 3 x GTX 680 Classified ?

I have ordered 2 x GTX 690 for delivery in beginning of June, no problem changing order to Classified at the store. Should I ?

4 x GTX 680 Classifed is that a little overkill ? Or could I use the excuse:   Futureproof

Then again, are the happening anything else to the GTX 690 then watercooling and probably a little overclock ?

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

Depending on what you're doing, the 4th gpu will be next to useless. If you're gaming, get as much horsepower out of one, two, or three cards before you add a 4th.

Finally a 680 with more than 2 gb of frame buffer...

2 questions

are classified cards eligible for step up?

is there a classified 690 in the works?

I liked 3 questions

Will there be a "GK100" card coming down the pipe with all the stream processors/ rops/ memory bandwidth unlocked?

Why so serious?

Gaming it is, I have little knowledge how to overclock, so I like best when it is powerfull straight out of the box. I rather prefer more GPU's than overclocking.
4th cards as an phsyx card or is that still not give any extra in games wiyth that option?

Surely this card will allow higher than stock voltage eh Jacob? I know you may want to keep something like that under wraps due to competition reasons. If the voltage was locked at stock this card would be rather pointless.

I know he "implied" that voltage will be able to be tweaked, I said if the voltage was locked at 1.175 like regular cards, this particular cards purpose in life would be pointless.

So 4GB memory, custom PCB and all those power phases. The water-cooled version will be $799 I bet for a single GPU card. $3200 in GPU's alone for 4-way SLI. Not that it matter as I see EVGA limits GTX 680 purchases to 1 per household now. It would take months of stock trickling in just to get enough cards. You can't even do regular SLI with the 1-per limit in a reasonable time-frame seeing how limited 680 supplies are.

It's kinda of a catch 22. 4 GB memory GPU's like the Classified cards are meant for Surround systems. 1 GPU is not enough to run Surround setups at decent frame rates so you need at least 2. EVGA limits to 1 per household now so even if you did manage to grab one for your setup, it may take weeks to even complete a basic SLI setup for Surround.

1 GPU isnt enough? Thats baloney, and you know it! Quit whining because you cant order 4 of them and then sell three of them on fleabay. Some of you are just ridiculous around here. So you cant find a girlfriend or a buddy to order a second one for you?
