I'm looking at building a new computer right now. been using EVGA cards forever. and I want to build a machine that can make the most of EVGA. Right now I have a EVGA gtx 980 ti but it's kinda been a bit flaky ever since the 10 series came out. I tried to push my drivers back before anything with that series went in but I'm not sure I went back far enough.

But my machine, ivy bridge, I7 3770k is seems to be under the specs for VR requirements. I almost pushed the button to buy a 6700k and a z170 stinger last night too. got home and saw the 7700k was out. people are reporting that the 7700k is not as good as the 6700k but I am wondering if they put the 7700k in a z170 mb for their testing?

Would it be possible to know the dimensions of the E-ATX board? Need to decide which to order to fit my case.

    When will these be available?

Classified K lists memory speeds of 3600 MHz +. Will this support 3733 MHz DDR4? Can we get a qualified vendor list for memory for these boards to make sure parts are compatible?

@opryl -- Probably for size reasons.

Quick question, how wide are the 2 top PCI-E 16x slots on the FTW?  My current EKWB Terminal is for 40mm. Do I need to buy the longer one (60mm if I had to guess based on the mobo pictures)?

Oh and when do these come out? I ordered the 7700k, but didn't like the selection of motherboards... mainly the lack of dual M.2 slots. And the FTW board looks perfect for me.

    Big price increase from Z170.

    Z170 FTW $180
    Z170 Classified K $229

Maybe retail prices (Amazon/Newegg) will be lower.

waiting for the stinger manual. as much as I would like to go with a classifiedk, my gut is telling me to go with the stinger for budget reasons.

This price of EVGA Z170 Classified K is pretty nice.
E-ATX board, high end below 300$... Great. Color is excellent.
Look... M.2 x2, U.2, Voltage Read Points, 2x 8 pin as real premium mobo.
    I always liked 8+8, than 8+4.

If someone want full size, motherboard below 300 with everything important from new generations this is good choice.
Such board usually cost 380-450$... I can bet some seller will offer and for 280-290 with some discounts.
It's not bad special because i7-7700K is very fast on fabric clock 4.5GHz... Only 500MHz need for magic 5.0GHz...
NOW OR NEWER! Maybe even with CORSAIR H115i or H110 GT 280mm AIO systems..

You will see, remember my words i7-7700K with 4 cores on 5.0GHz beat AMD Ryzen.
It's not joke. You will see soon.

I think the real questions are:

    When can we get it?
    Where can we get it?
How much can we get it for?

EVGA store prices are deliberately higher than retail because if they undercut retailers retailers won't stock their products.

I hope EVGA's production planner(s) have done a better job with this Z270 platform than they did with the 1080 GPU release and extreme lack of stock for months on end...

I think on first place for stock is NVIDIA guilty not EVGA.
And their last 3 series of motherboards worked good, Z97, Z170, X99...
except lack of some features as bluetooth and similar stuff maybe they even had less problems than ASUS X99 series.
OK ASUS fix later with Rampage V Edition 10 but they had a lot of problems with Z170 Hero, RVE, and other boards.

I suppose prices will be 289 and 299$ in first weeks...
But Z270 FTW K for 230$ is maybe even better choice for most people. Z170 FTW K now cost 168$ on Newegg.
If someone want to build cheaper gaming RIG he is great with some i5 Skylake or i5 Kaby Lake.
I think boards will be available very soon. Now is question what customers wish more, new motherboard with Z270 chipset or they want to save even more and build Kaby Lake on Z170 chipset. I would go on Z270 because BIOS, but he will work and on Z170.

This Kaby Lake i7-7700K is very attractive CPU, he will be same as i7-4790K even faster stock clock with DDR4 support.
And Basic Clock and Turbo are high. His basic clock is same as Skylake i7-6700K Turbo and work on 300MHz higher speed without OC.
Only 500MHz miss for 5.0GHz. They are much faster per core than i7-6950X example.

I was shocked when I looked one clip and i7-3960X have faster core than i7-6950X that's real example how Intel play with clocks and add more cores to avoid performance improvements. But for me is X99 still better even if Kaby Lake is visible better in gaming than any processor.

For SLI on the z270 Classy, is that 1 or 2 slot spacing?

    Thanks

I value performance and customer service over bling but these are just boring plain jane boards with far less features than you will see in other mfg's boards at the same price point. Disappointing.
