Looking forward to the next-generation GeForce GTX 970 and the ACX 2.0 cooler. Heard a lot of good stuff about the new Maxwell chip. I'm hoping that I can win, so I can replace my old GTX 650 Ti.

I saw on the PCPER live stream with EVGA_Jacobf the he said something about the 900 series having backplates but he didn't mention any specific models. So i want to know if all the 900 series GPUs will have backplates on specific models or across the board?

Nvidia made a great card: low power, high performance, finally decent default v-ram, and priced well.
And TI will be better.
EVGAs ACX fans look pretty nice I'll wait for more benchmarks before I conclude they're the best though.
I guess its pretty cool that it power manages but shouldn't all fans nowadays do that? The software is pretty much where it should be too.
Thanks for the EVGA9CoolDaysOfACX2 you guys outdid your competitors with this promotion.
And break out the 8gb versions already, we all know you have them somewhere... maybe out back with the EVGA spaceship?

Wow - I still think EVGA is number #1 in customer service. I skipped a generation to wait for the next gen and it's finally here!! Really nice beasts of a card GTX 970 and 980! This is starting to be a niche market with all of the other gaming choices now but I think discrete graphics still has it's place.

There's not much to discuss as it's clearly the best card out there. I am in love with this card and would be perfect for my gaming rig. It's amazing how far these cards have come over the years.

I think its only the hydro copper. No reason to use a backplate on air.

These cards are awesome. I really love the way the new ACX cooler looks. It's subtle and elegant and IMO better than other company's.

Techpowerup measured noise of the gtx970 ACX, and it was the same as 780ti reference cooler.
Which is not very silent, i must say.
And 980 reference cooler is definitely more quiet.

Enjoy it while it lasts. If you believe the Intel hype machine, discrete gpus shall be gone in a few years. FEAR THE INTEL because its already inside you... Can't wait to see Intels run against the gpu market though.

That SSC card with ACX 2.0 looks like the big winner here; great card at a great price. Read nothing but great reviews of the EVGA 970's (and 980's, but they're a little out of my price range unfortunately) so I'm pretty excited :)
Anyone tried them in SLI yet?
