Just picked 1 up. Anyone else running these? This a 9704 and runs a little hotter than most 0x18's. My 970 gets noticeably louder above 58% and this one is turning at 61%. (I keep my fan curve values equal.)

I'll keep an eye out for them, also what PPD are you getting from them?

Fluctuating ppd with 310k on the high end and 228k on the low end. If it averages 270 it would be average or a little more than average.

Interesting. I have not seen or picked up any CORE 21s so far. I got my 970 FTW running in the case with a 980 SC and I am getting nothing but 18s. I'll keep an eye out. What are the points for one of these units and how long does it take your 970 to complete on? rs edit - sorry, I am at work and you answered all my questions before I could post!

All core 18's on all 6 GPUs right now, and it looks like the 980's just picked up their units.

Yodap -- are you folding on Linux? Last I checked these were restricted to Linux because of the need for large amounts of system memory for each WU. I haven't kept up with it in a while so I was curious if it was now available for Windows folding.

I have noted that some of the new Core 18 Projects run hotter as well. I have yet to see any Core 21 Projects.

Beta or Advanced? Edit: Wow these are pretty big. 175,000 atoms with different base credit between all four in this series. Core code - "UNKNOWN_ENUM" Edit 2: Interesting that 9752 seems to be related to the Core 21 WUs, yet it's SMP. Maybe it's to help balance the points awarded? http://fah-web.stanford.edu/new/psummary.html

Just got home and looked at the log. The wu took just under 4 hours and final credit estimate 42,900. I'm running Win7 and have the beta flag set. Slight OC on the card, 1383MHZ.

Running -Beta. My Titan picked one up and is 10% thru and it is saying 294K points a day if I kept getting them. I like these if my old Titan could pick up and extra 120K a day. Also noticed that the core 21 is making my computer pull about another 20 watts from the wall.

Still none for my PC's. I am trying to shut the black box down, but it restarted for a Windows update and picked up 3 new core 18s, lol. As soon as I can get it shut down, I am adding the 4th 780ti back in.

Still none here either unless I picked one up when I was asleep last night. 7 WU last night and all Core 18 client-type beta.

I thought I read they limited it to 64 bit OS and 2gb cards because of the memory requirements.
Here is the quote I saw on the FF back in May... Just didn't remember seeing the Windows incoming part part -- Hi Beta-ers, Project 9704 is a simulation of a large voltage-gated sodium channel protein. Core 21 is a new, beta core based on a newer version of OpenMM (6.2). Right now it is Linux only, but a 64-bit windows build is in progress (and putting up a fight... may take some time). This project has high memory requirements. I've set a constraint to be assigned only to donors with memory > 2000 MiB, but this may require tweaking. Let me know!
Current WU's are being released to 64 bit Windows -- p9704 is now available for beta testing on windows. This requires a 64 bit version of windows and >= 2GB system ram. The large ram usage mandates a 64 bit core. In future core21 projects, there will be both a 64 bit and 32 bit core

That is strange, what OS are you running? If a 64Bit OS you should be able to use it all. Most be Windows Home version.

Windows 7 Home premium. I was looking at upgrading to Windows 7 Professional until I found out that Windows 10 was going to be a free upgrade. Yes, I'm a cheapskate!

HK-Steve Impressions of Windows 10???
Meh. I'm just hoping it's stable and drivers are compatible. Still no Core 21 for me. Nothing but Core 18s here. On a side note, I am wondering if I can get more ppd if I use the Intel graphics in my CPU for my monitor and let my video boards run wild. IDK if it's the drivers or the Folding servers but now and then a WU will stutter for some reason and I will lose as much as 25% of my points and the completion time will go up. Any thoughts?

I don't do much gaming after suffering a mild stroke in March. The middle two fingers in my right hand are numb. Using the Intel graphics in my 4790k might allow me to browse the web and answer emails while my video boards are still Folding. Enabling and disabling SLI can be a PITA since MSI Afterburner sometimes loses my clock settings and occassionally my icons get scattered all over the screen.

if you dont use them for gaming, why have sli enabled, i dont think that affects folding at all, each card is viewed individually anyway the logic in your idea is sound, but i dont think a desktop or even a couple browsing tabs would take much away from folding, would it?
