if you dont use them for gaming, why have sli enabled, i dont think that affects folding at all, each card is viewed individually anyway
the logic in your idea is sound, but i dont think a desktop or even a couple browsing tabs would take much away from folding, would it?

I enable SLI especially for running my benchmarks to test driver improvements but it's not necessary for my games. BF4 is my most graphics intensive game right now.
I'll have to find one of my old HDMI cables to try the Intel graphics since this mobo doesn't have a DVI-D port. Opening anything when Folding on my primary graphics board causes stuttering and loss of points. I don't Fold on my CPU anymore.

They are nice, especially with your setup...

I finally got one but I wasn't impressed with the results. First, I woke up to a dead Client. Both video boards were missing and so was the CPU. I couldn't open the Client and had to use the Task Manager to shut it down. After I restarted the Client it immediately downloaded two more WU and it left two unfinished WU in the work area. I uninstalled, reconfigured and began Folding again with a Core 18 and a Core 21 WU on my video boards. I lost at least two WU between midnight and 7:00 am this morning and one WU was 130,000+ points and should have finished at 5:30 am.
Results:
  Core 18: Base of 4300, Total points = 41159, TPF = 1m:33s, 2h 26m runtime.
  Core 21: Base of 9000, Total points = 25501, TPF = 1m:45s, 2H 31m runtime.

Are those overclocked ?
I had one (and one only)  3 hours and 3 minutes "Final credit estimate, 48322.00 points". Nothing special PPD wise if I were to run 24/7 and pick up 8 in a row.
It did work the card harder than other units I've had and use half of the graphics memory which I have not noticed before.  The card temperature was up a bit as well and as you weren't monitoring yours at the time I'm curious if yours were at stock clocks or not. If I'm about I usually fold at 1530Mhz but I ran the "21" at stock.
