Very nice, AB!  I want a new Stang so badly, my 2000 GT with a supercharger at 7 psi only put out what the new 5.0's do N/A.  Plus the build quality is miles ahead of what it was back then.  Bring on the Ford haters!  (except Wrinvert, I like WRX's too)

LOL!! Be patient, it can happen!!

I am a "Car lover". Not much into brand vs. brand like I once was. And every car has it's own "Feel" to it. But man is this car all that and a bag of "Hell yeah"

She got her first bath today...

Are we going to get any "naughty" videos after the 500 mile break in period?

My co-worker bought a 2012 Mustang V6, a month or 2 passed and he wouldn't race me because "mine is new, yours is not" lol... couple months later they totalled his car... took like half a year for the insurance company to fix it. If you buy a car, Have fun once in a while... I'm not talking about doing donuts, burning out and racing every night, But if you know what you're doing, once a year wouldn't hurt =P

We have a race track just up the road from us (Seattle Raceway). All "Racing" will be done there. And I will not start anything, including hard starts, until 1000 miles... Right after the first oil change (1000 miles) I normally run a vehicle through some tough paces. I need to know "It's" limits and where it breaks loose...

Good choice, 1,000 limit isn't far from today... From what I gather, your wife and yourself are enjoying it very much! :)

P.S. Here's the Mustang I was talking about...Not totaled so to speak, But as you know with many new cars, for any little scratch they're quoted as an expensive fix... -_-

hows the auto?  I'm really hoping they do a DCT on the GT500s at least.  it should have been that way all along, manual is simply awful for daily driving

You know... I love stick (As much as I do breathing) but I have to be honest. The auto is not that bad. Now I have not "Worked" the car yet. But a few of the fellas that drag monthly now own the autos locally. They say it is almost bullet proof. And having the "Select-able" manual feature on the auto makes it a near perfect combination...

I am looking forward to finding the dead spots in the Auto

I like mostly all types of cars too, it's just seems like Ford gets extra criticism from some.  I complete my Mech Engineering degree in a month so hopefully there is a new car somewhere in my future!

You don't like the turbo set-up?  It will be tough to beat the efficiency of the turbo, although the supercharger does give you that instant off idle kick in the behind.

I do but its custom made, just a bit less maintenance would be nice. Plus living in the city will let me mess with the ricers a bit more =) Ill be sitting at about 430-470 hp with the supercharger.

Just having driven both turbo and supercharged cars you might be a bit disappointed, but maybe not.  Where you really go nuts on the top of the rev range with the turbo set up, that is where the supercharger runs out of steam and you can be left wanting for more.  Street though, supercharger makes a lot of sense.  The strip though, all turbo to be competitive.

Going from 600hp back to 430-470 doesn't make much sense.

I followed your build when you went from fresh ownership to how you have it now (At least what you posted here on EVGA). Refresh my memory. You running the 4.7 or 5.0?

Yes, plan is to do whatever I feel at the time. I am going to switch from Computers back to autos as my main hobby. While the expense will go through the roof, it is time for me to get my hands a new set of calluses from all the wrenching.

Many here have no idea... But I was a racer once... If it had a steering wheel and at lest three tires on the ground, I owned the roads with it. Even raced Micky Thompson back before he went Stadium circuit...

I also was one of those building Jeeps before it was "Cool" to climb ridiculous hillsides...

In other words... My love is in the entire process. Research-build-race-break-rebuild-race-rinse and repeat...

I know I will start calm cool and collected. I do not want to spend $6000 just to learn I could have spent $4000 and done it right the first time. That way I can drop that extra $$ into the next mod...

Ah! That explains it... I was struggling with the HP numbers he was mentioning... I went with the GT V8 5.0... Very different beast...

Yes it is.  You can be a high 9 second car with a single turbo and running 150mph+ traps.  The coyote loves the turbo.

Yeah, kind of a dorky name for it. However they just put their best price on each vehicle. No negotiations required/needed or allowed. No second sticker ETC. Not to mention the stress free environment and the ability to walk the lot and test drive without a salesturd... For example... I got mine for $5000+ under window sticker. All the other dealerships add a second sticker and make you negotiate. Those other dealers always advertise for less, till you get on their lot and find they added every single discount available to mankind, but not one person qualifies for them all. Making their price way to high after the second sticker and "Discounts"...

I love the color AB and welcome to the club!!  This is my 2001 I picked up last year as I have always loved the throw back look with the new edge convertibles and someone traded this in and I fell n love! auto allows you to run more gear if you want as i'm running 4:10's in mine and it sure woke it up.

The Helion basic single turbo kit is quite impressive too.

Easily makes 600hp at 6psi which is perfect for the stock auto.  More than that and you want to start thinking about upgrading the clutches.

Love seeing those front wheels in the air as it digs off the line.

AB, I forgot to ask... Can I get a couple of detailed pics on the inside of your trunk?

Is it the same size as the older model? bigger/smaller?

Hahahaa... I agree! ^^^

We stretched her legs today and had a blast... Love how the steering feels (There are three different settings we can use) and how the wider tires grip in the turns... This pic was taken somewhere around 5000 feet next to the river...

Not a fan of the stereo... Going to fix that shortly...

Ordered two pairs of Infinity Reference 6832cf speakers. Not happy with the factory setup... Also have two JL Audio 10w1's waiting to go in the trunk.. I plan on keeping an eye out for sales on amps during the holidays...

Actually I typed that wrong.. They are 10w3's and the wife likes them. May only ruin one in this car. She rocks out, but I need to be respectful the the small trunk space...
