So my 1080's seem to be acting up, received them on Saturday, and worked flawlessly until Monday afternoon, all of sudden when i boot up and am into the system 1 minute in, the screen blanks out, the monitor is still showing on and active but no image, I tried each card individually and they both have the same effect, after 1-2 minutes into the system the screen goes blank or white, I re-installed my titan x and the issue could not be replicated, I have updated to the new drivers for the 1080's, and it will do this while i am surfing the web/office or gaming. but cant be replicated on my titanx, any suggestions?

i had a similar problem , my display port monitor would not turn on at all so i had to use my 2nd monitor via DVI-D to installed the drivers and all was well.

sounds like the hz is wrong,   like 60hz  120hz..

possibly you had a different card in before and put the new card in and somehow the hz settings got mixed up?

i know if the card is set to different hz than the monitor it will do just as you said.. it'll bios boot but when windows loads the vid driver boom black screen

I checked the hz, they all matched the settings for both nvidia control panel and system control panel, 100hz across the board, I did a re-install of the drivers last night, restart a few times to check if the issue will replicate, so far no issues, I will do more extensive use later on tonight.
