I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but on numerous occasions after a reboot, sound will not play out of the speakers I have plugged into the audio output jack on the motherboard (even though the speakers are selected as the audio output).  Unplugging the jack and plugging it back in fixes the issue temporarily, but on subsequent reboots it will inevitably happen again.  Is there any way to prevent this?  It's a real pain having to unplug and replug in my speakers repeatedly.  Any insight would be greatly apprecited.

Does the issue occur with other speakers or headphones?

I don't have other speakers or wired headphones to test with, unfortunately.  I have used these same speakers for years, with earlier computer builds, and have never had an issue like this with them (the speakers are Logitech Z623).

is there any chance that a bluetooth item or bluetooth USB module has decided it is an audio output .

Also check Sounds -playback - default device  what you select should stat the same but what the latest windows 10 updates does is always an unknown.

Where you just using the bottom left green output  ( think that has the headphone icon by it ) ?

    ------------------
I never looked into HOW a sound cable being plugged in is detected but sound blaster devices in the past did have dual use of some output ports so something may be messing up the auto selection.

I am only using 2 speaker headphone out into my Logitech 5.1 amp via the AUX 2 speaker input
