x58 Classified compatible PCIE SATA III controller (Bootable maybe?)

Hi all,
 
Just a question in regard to advice/experience with PCIE SATA controller compatibility on the EVGA x58 Classified motherboard?
I bought a controller way back, but that actually messed up the characters in the BIOS! Everything worked fine, but had to remove the card to make BIOS menu's readable?! And haven't touched it since!
 
I found some info on these two card's:
StarTech PEXSAT32
HighPoint Rocket 640L
 
But would like to know if anybody has hands-on experience with PCIE SATA III controllers on the x58 Classified specifically?
And would it be possible to boot Windows 10 from an SSD on any of these controllers?
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated...
