i heard that a kernel leak in intell chips is a major flaw and will take a huge performance hit on a new patch https://www.theregister.c...intel_cpu_design_flaw/

    Well that sucks, good thing I'm planning to upgrade this year.  It says older models will take a bigger hit and I'm on a 4 year old CPU.

       Not the best timing  when Ryzen  &  threadripper from AMD are closing in on them

    It looks like a possibility that Windows 10 gets the patch so it effects amd and anything that uses Windows 10

    I just upgraded to a Haswell i7 too seems like games that don't use direct x will change much
