After months (close to a year???) my 850 P2 is quiet, now. Maybe over time yours will shut up, too.

Out of curiosity, have you used any other power supplies on that same circuit?

Coil whine can also occur dependent on power delivery to the power supply. If the power supply isn’t getting clean power, that could possibly be part of the issue.

Is there multiple items drawing power off the circuit in the your home, or is the computer on its own?

I would have to agree that it seems like it could be the circuit. How old is the house? Can you plug the system into another room (like use a TV as the monitor) and check it?

I've had 2 EVGA power supplies and never had any whine from either of them. Right now, I'm running the 1000W G3. Eco mode does suck, however, so I have that turned off. It could be the circuit rather than the PSU, as others are saying.

If you use a non true-sine wave UPS that can cause coil whine.

From my own experience with 780 Tis and a cheaper UPS, the power output to the PSU caused the whine. Plugging directly into the wall, and then later getting a true sine wave ups, fixed the whine.
